I wrote on my wall STAY HIGH STAY FREE, the stupid cops in that area thought it was about drugs. No I discovered a higher drug than anything on the street, HANG GLIDING. Changed my life. Once you taste it, you will never ever be the same again. Great film.

Reminds me of my training flights in the late 70s - early 80s. Learned to fly on a Seagull 3 and then bought a Seagull Ten Meter, flew with it for some 3 years until quitting the sport altogether - started flying airplanes.

I new I recognized that area around 3:50, the Pine Island Beach Club swimming pool, and the Hampton Inn hotel, I work in that community right now :) How often do you guys come out their to fly?

I was quite nervous watching new pilots over the water. Water is not so forgiving when your strapped under somthing that will sit on the top and be impossible to lift. And new pilots make approach planning mistakes.

...a good little montage of ground school, low, and then higher flights. Be wary of turning toward the hill; even at H-3, I avoid doing that unless I am thermalling and safely over the hill's crest - or far out in front of it, enough to keep clear even when there is a good breeze blowing toward the hill.

Wow!! Looks like a lot of fun trying to work a tiny ridge. Not gonna happen in a sailplane though!
