Всё супер. Одно жаль, что не эти люди управляют там.
I saw so many great movies at the Met growing up. I loved sitting in that big auditorium. Unfortunately, I was still pretty young when the drive-in closed, but I did get to see a few movies out there. Great video!

Using real horsepower (like I have done the past 60 years) is based on what the soil produces with the help of the sun and therefore can be considered a form of solar power. I always surprise visitors to our farm by saying that we run on solar power. When they want to see the pertinent facilities I point them to our horse barn. While working for humans did not just mean being cared for and loved, but also meant much hardship and even often abuse for horses, it was based on biological reality. With the advent of extraction of fossil fuel utilized in tractors and cars humans thought they wouldn't be bound by those biological realities and started exploiting the land to a much greater extent than ever before. Monocultures resulted in soil loss, pollution of soil and water. Worst of all, we forgot that the earth sets boundaries for how many people it can support. In my lifetime the population of the USA more than doubled, the one of the planet more than tripled. Therefore we have been depleting the earth's capital and anybody should understand that this cannot go on without being penalized by natural consequences. The writing is on the wall. The signs are all around us.
I hope I have done justice to the story in this little film. I feel the same and I agree with your sentiments.
@@VoicesOfIowaFalls You surely have done justice to the story and I applaud you posting it.
@@VoicesOfIowaFalls I should have also mentioned that as the numbers of existing farms suggest replacing horses with tractors led to a rapid decline in the number of farms, which means that not only places to live at were lost but the number of independent small businesses in the farming regions shrank considerably as well.
@@klauskarbaumer6302 That is also an excellent point.

Interesting interview...is Mike Ingebritson doing the interview?
Yed
Yes
Yes. Mike Ingebritson conducted this interview. It was conducted circa in the late 1990s
This is amazing.
Btw.. is there any way to get a copy of the Stack poster? I’m from Iowa Falls and I just happen to live next door to Bob Bell on the River. I came to Iowa Falls in 1973 when Stack broke up . Bruce Bell hung around Iowa Falls but Bob went down to Florida and just recently came back to Iowa Falls to live in the summer. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A COPY OF THE POSTER!!
Hey! Yeah, absolutely. I'll see if I can get a copy made for you. I want a copy for myself anyway.
This is awesome. My mom has a Stack poster in her living room and I've always wondered who they were and what they sounded like. They were great!!👍
Check the above message .. would love a reply back!

Nana Morton commented: “Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.”
Another interview with Joe Gomer can be found at “Voices of Iowa”, at GROUTMUSEUMDISTRICT.ORG That site is part of a Silos and Smokestacks historically funded project that is located in the Grout Museum District in Waterloo, Iowa. There are many video interviews on the site, divided into military veteran interviews and farmer interviews. They are in alphabetical order by name and the hometown of the participant is also listed. People can also submit requests to be interviewed if they would like to tell their story.
