ENG: An excelent cover of this sad and deep melody about one of the best RPG games of all the time. This really makes me cry more than the original version, all because one tragic remember of my past. Keep the good work, because this is a masterpiece. ESP: Un cover excelente de esta pieza tan particular de la primera entrega de Golden Sun, siendo uno de los mejores RPG de todos los tiempos y por parte de su apartado musical por Motoi Sakuraba, jamás habrá una decepción. Tristemente esto me hace llorar más que el tema original, que ya de por sí es desolador, por algunas heridas de mí pasado, una pesadilla que se hizo realidad y que me dejó marcado cuando sucedió, con esta melodía de fondo. Es trágico y deprimente, pero un excelente trabajo al fin y al cabo. Sigan así, que la verdad esta pieza es única y lo vale, aún con aquel tormento para mí.

Nice unit but it takes a lot of effort to get it right because of the many routing options. Once done correctly the cleans are great. There are better OD and distortion pedals out there but it’s very programmable.

Awesome sounds quality

In the days before modeling preamps this was it. Really you have to look at this unit in context of the technology at the time. You said that it was a shame that the Chameleon didn't progress past the 2k version but that's not accurate. Rocktron developed the Prophesy as an evolution to this preamp and there was also the Prophesy II. These added a 12AX7 on the front end, as was a popular practice on rack preamps at the time, and lots more effects. I consider this the last hurrah of digital preamps before the amp modeling age took over. The Chameleon was the proof of concept and the Prophesy was the completion. We're now spoiled with modeling plug-ins on laptops giving us convincing simulations of every amp in existence, but these units are designed to gig flawlessly night after night - no software crashes or glitches. The sounds are more than adequate for most uses. Guitarists tend to forget that almost nobody who just enjoys listening to music can tell you what gear is used on their favorite song, but they can tell you how that song makes them feel. That's what counts.

I'm looking at getting one so I can finally fulfill my teenage dream of being able to recreate that late 90's Slipknot tone and this video convinced me that it'll be worth picking up.
