Yes, recording in 16:9 with alot of spacerrings, which gives alot of black vignette to the sides and then cropped to 4:3 in sony vegas . exportsettings for youtube 1280:960 50fps max bitrate 50.000.000bits/s

Tried it today worked great, fin felt very snug. I'm curious if I can just keep doing it forever on this board or if eventually ill have to get it repaired.

I used it on a futures box btw. I had a pack of different size zip ties. seems helpful to have the choices, a bigger or smaller tie might not have made as snug a fit.

@@Alex-rb5fs after about 1 year of doing this it is getting loose again (on my board) unfortunatly.... now i stuck some old credit card parts to the side of the fin and it still works :D maybe i need to get the job done by a shop now ^^

@@peteair how exactly has it affected the fin box long term? Did the zip tie method eventually start to gradually widen the screw hole?

Rode it again today even bumped on a rock and feels snug as ever :)

The hcx 1500 has a filter of 62mm, so I would use the same fisheye but with 58mm and an adapter ring 58-62mm.

Mhmmm i didnt really do anything... it is put on a small adapter, completly zoomed out, also digital zoom off ofcourse. Nothing else i can imagine what would make it blurry

Opteka 0.3 Titanium series 52mm with an adapter to 49mm. No extra spacer. As u can see there is still a slight wobble of the edges of the fisheye, (which did not happen when i put it on my vx1000), even if i have the imagestabilizer switched off.

@@peteair is this with the lens zoomed out fully wide and no cropping in post?

Thanks! There is only one thing which u should know, if u film with fisheye, even if the imagestabilisator is switched off, the vignette of the fisheye does slightly move. I did use an overlay in this video to correct for that, which in my opinion is a good option still. U can see the wobbly edges in this video ruclips.net/video/D1WZ9R0ZxoI/видео.html
