He's doing it for himself and to not be surprised I feel is people telling him that they believe and trust in his skill and work ethic.

You've put together the clips, his speech and the music very professionally, and it all came out inspiring! Somehow, this character slipped my attention when I was first watching the anime. Hence I never understood the hype around him (and the Miya twins as well): he seemed like a very boring person to me. Right now, I'm trying to rewatch the series and your clip made me realise that this character does have very interesting colours to him. Because of you, I might try to pay more attention to him when I get to this ark. I have changed a lot since the days I first watched the anime. I was naive, young and didn't have the problems that I have now. And Kito might strike right into my heart with his poised attitude, personality and ideology that I can agree with.

I was overwhelmed to see this character, for the first time I could relate to a character so much, though he was a better version of mine , but watching him made me believe in my philosophy even more,

He is my favorite character without a doubt. I love him and his character to accept and understand people. He was a true captain. Even though Kuro and Sawamura were amazing captain, Kita was the one that I absolutely accept as my favorite captain. Kita is completely opposite of Oikawa. I like Oikawa but I prefer Kita's character more.
