Ultimate Plumbing Van Makeover: From Chaos to Clean! (Part 1)
The water was set too high all you had to do was turn it down.... shame man shame
@perfect5933 it wouldn't shut off even when pulled all the way I've been plumbing a long time man that would have been simple
Nice van!
Any particular reason why you installed a expansion tank? Didn’t see a Backflow. Also no strap/support on the expansion tank?
Feral buster is a real good tool had it before they put em in nice canvas bags
@djkillstreak33 i remember they just had them packaged in plastic I had a older one before and I lost it
I don't know if I can justify the cost, $141 bucks at USD pricing... I have a twist crank puller for 35 bucks. I guess we'll see, I don't need every tool out there, however don't get me wrong it looks nice in a small form factor.
@FalenAnjel2 $70 i paid
@@DrixzyThePlumber really? Which site did you use? In my area and Canada I don't see them selling it yet. For 70 USD I can get around it being 100ish cdn area for the tool
@@FalenAnjel2 i got it in store at a local supply house called hirsh pipe and supply

You buy all of your own tools
@mauricewiley6164 yes sir 🙌
Lmao. BS rip off cost. I'm an auto technician and have been doing it for 20 plus years. I ordered 2 new faucets from Amazon for my home. I removed both 2 old faucets and installed the 2 new ones in under an hr. 2 new faucets I ordered cost me $80.00 plus free shipping next day delivery. I thought only auto mechanics were the only one ripping people off, lol 😆 😅 😂. I guess carpenters and plumbers are in the same boat too, hahahahaha
I got the match😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
No caulking between fixtures and countertop?
Just FYI, the Glacier Bay faucets, like many now, have a rubber seal built into the base of the faucet or plate which negates needing to use plumbers putty or silicone and provides a good seal on flat surfaces. If you have a tile countertop and there is a grout joint under the base plate, then it's still a good idea to use putty or silicone.
@thewoggerswaydiy exactly 💯 🙏
I heard Home Depot sells low quality faucets. Don't most plumbers buy better quality from a plumbing supply store?
@munsters2 supply houses sell the worst faucets
Not all supply outlets sell "quality" fixtures. Some here in Las Vegas sell some low quality stuff (that they charge a premium for) that you have a hard time finding parts for if anything goes wrong down the road. The Glacier Bay (House brand of Home Depot) have decent products (Sure, some of their lines may be a little below par, but for the most part they are decent). I've been installing them for 14 years and haven't had any major issues. Biggest problems I've had are clogged carts due to hard water deposits, but that happens with all brands, no matter how "high end" they may be. The nice thing about the Glacier Bay brand, is that most parts are readily available at a Home Depot in order to make a quick repair, if needed. Compare a $99 Glacier Bay high arc kitchen faucet with pull down sprayer to a $400 Kohler and it's not a tough decision. It all comes down to aesthetics and price for most people. When it comes down to $400 for a Glacier Bay (faucet and installation) compared to $1,000+ for a similar looking Kohler, most people with go with the $400 option. I would stay away from most off-brands available from Amazon. Some have a great build quality but I've yet to find one that I can get parts for.
@thewoggerswaydiy finally someone who understands cheers fellow plumber
@@thewoggerswaydiy Thanks.

Only way to do it
What 700 is crazy how u still in business
Open the valve and it’s easy to turn .
Good job💪
Fair price. I recently bought online a replacement kitchen faucet (Pfister) with a new one ($202 Delta) from Home Depot. I chose the option to pay for the fixture installation for an additional $135. The plumber and his son (apprentice) drove an hour round-trip and installed the faucet in about 45 minutes, which included explaining why my previous unit failed and why Delta is a better brand. I appreciate any trades person who makes my life simpler, does the job right the first time, and charges a fair price.
break down those numbers ✅
You trusting that fitting inside the wall id get a gas sniffer and I’d unthread that fitting in the wall and make sure it’s got true blue on it
$1000 for a faucet . We’re in Southern California ( Murray Company) and we’d get run of the site charging that kind of money. It just reeks of price gouging. Not that we do service or repair except a few guys out of 600.
Nyc the worse place in the nation to be a carpenter , NYC the best place for a plumber
How is it $725? Whats the $325 from ? Are u commission based employee
@deechicago25 yes I'm on commission
The 323 is the cost for me and parts together witch is the company's cost for the job
Great job

Glacier Bay ? Really ? Wow.

I charge for kitchen faucets 140.00 & drop in lavy faucets i charge 80.00 & wide spread lavy faucets 150.00 & that's just the labor but if its multiple faucets i will take off 25.00 for every extra faucet installed I run my own plumbing business one man show 👍
I wouldnt get out of bed for 140 install kitchen faucet, going to pick up the faucet and install it? No way in hell.
Well thats you good luck with that 🤣@@sdfv4zx
$250 min labor. Each but then again he said companies charge 1k for 1faucet lol WTF
If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Don't tell me a plumber is worth what they charge today. I have had issues with plumbers in the last few years. I have a couple of rental properties, and both of them have had water heaters replaced twice in just the last couple of years. In my home, I have had 3 water heaters in 6 years. No one can tell me a plumber is worth $ 850 per hour. My last water heater cost me $ 1783.00 to replace under warranty. He was in my home for a total time of 2 hours and 16 minutes from the moment he looked at the water heater to when he drove away. And he never pulled a permit for the replacement. That ended up costing me an additional $ 245.00 from the fine and a permit.
How much do you charge to remove the godawful subtitles?
@@zoiks6631 you gotta cry enough and it will go away
lol you can install a faucet yourself for exactly $0 and it doesn't take more than 30 minutes
False. YOU can. Most elderly ladies can't. In fact most people can't without a little practice and the motivation to try. Now, food delivery? EVERYBODY can do that themselves but millions of lazy people still pay $35 for a big mac delivery cause they're lazy 😂.
If everything goes well, maybe. But usually you find other problems to deal with.
to much of the "F" word being used for me. lost me as a viewer.
@grahamfinn4149 yea i noticed it to in my other videos it's not like that this was my 1st ever long form video

Maybe thread tape? You know the stuff they made for this type of application? Pipe dope alone will fail and is basically a lubricant to help tighten. Which you should have done one more time around.
You don't NEED both, it's just good practice. Both ways are acceptable.

You ain't livin' if you don't do it live!
ill write it and we'll do it live! fuckin thing sucks! love that clip lol
Isn’t carbon monoxide odorless?
@4Thug2Life0 yes but u can smell the burning natural gas witch emits carbon monoxide
@@DrixzyThePlumber IMO, this approach is not best practice, even if you did fix the issue... What if you fix the source of the spent gas fumes, but not entirely the CO? or what if there is a secondary CO leak? Human olfactory senses become desensitized by inhalation of CO (ansomia: smell blindness), which means, the more you expose yourself to it, the less you can accurately smell other things. So yeah you can do it that way, but your doctor would advise against it. Repetitive short-term exposure to CO can also cause long-term neurological and affective sequelae (google it)... and workers being exposed to it voluntarily like that is not OSHA compliant. Appropriate monitoring equipment to detect CO leaks and taking necessary actions to mitigate exposure if levels are above the 50ppm (PEL) are required by OSHA.
I smell gas😂
You're supposed to tape it first, then pipe dope always! Water or gas it doesnt matter.
