What is Paver-placed Stabilized Full Depth Reclamation?
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.Год назад
Sometimes a road deteriorates to a point that preservation treatments are no longer an option. Paver-placed Stabilized Full Depth Reclamation (SFDR) recycles pavement with performance additives that not only strengthen the recycled layer but also allows the road to remain open to traffic. Paver-placed Stabilized Full Depth Reclamation is a process that recycles existing asphalt and subbase in o...

Need to supply your website with a contact number.
I just had my driveway paved and the contractor wants to apply fog seal 3 days later. Does it make sense to do that? Everywhere I'm reading online says 6-12 months
A lot depends on the material. We recommend asking your driveway contractor what the material is and what that manufacturer recommends for a waiting period before installation!
Reclamation seems like a better solution due to the fact that you are compacting the base layer instead of just top coating.
Reclamation is a great treatment for roads that are in poor or very poor condition, however, it is costly. Micro Surfacing candidates are normally roads that are in good - fair PCI rating and this treatment is used to keep that road in good condition early at a fraction of the price reclamation type treatments would cost!
هل يتم فتح الطريق للمرور فورا،؟؟
Maybe a dumb question, but can you apply microsurfacing over concrete or does this only work over asphalt surfaces?
In the Northeast, Micro Surfacing is generally used as a maintenance or wearing surface over asphalt surfaces. However, it can be installed over Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) surfaces and bridge decks. In these cases, it is used typically to increase friction or fill depressions in the PCC surface and a tack coat is required.
How many applications can be applied over the surface of each other?
Hello! The number of times you can re-apply micro surfacing depends on a couple factors. Make sure there are no visual distresses that may impact the performance of another application of micro surfacing, similar to the distresses you look for prior to the initial application of micro surfacing, and that the existing micro surfacing is well bonded to the existing pavement. Also, look at what impacts raising the elevation of the roadway may have on drainage, driveways, and other roadway uses. Hope this answers your question!
after the chip seal does it need to be compacted before the slurry seal? what is the size of the chip seal aggregate?
i do slurry seal . never heard of cape seal ..
Fix the damn mic, can barely hear anything
How ?
What material do you typically use for a fog seal? We use SS1 or some variant of it.
For Fog Sealing, we primarily use E-fog from Ergon!
I used griptight today.
CSS-1H is what we use.
Watered down trackless.
Sounds awsome 😀 I got to see this
great😊😊😊😊😊😊
Woaw cool. 😃 thanks Art.
Another awsome video. You guys did work in West Warwick last year wish I could have seen it in action anymore work in Rhode Island anytime soon? I'd love see this.

what about manhole covers it will be a little bit lower from the micro surfacing layer?
They are later adjusted by being demoed out and level and pour a new concrete basé around manholes and water valve covers
Yeah they are slightly lower but smoothly and only an inch or so. We just had our streets done. They just put tape over them so it doesn't stick and they pull the tape up, smooth out the edges and that's it
Watch the video…. They show the type 2 micro spec at passing #4 so you are looking at 0.25”-0.5” max additional height. The video says 3/8” additional height
Super
Good video, Dan! Great explanation of the CIR process. Hope you post a final surface video.
