The first of my "low effort" battle reports. You'll still get the fancy ones, but for those who can't get enough I have something to satisfy you, at least a bit. It's also an excuse to push my minis around! I rarely get to use them outside of video. More mini-time makes me happy.

Could you do a video on the timing of the expertise tree and the com at tree? My last game had several questions. Like crosshairs reposition on his expertise tree and his combat tree which had a reposition and a heal. So could I reposition twice then heal?
I might be able to sneak that in somewhere! I think I can combine that with a few similar items. For now, you'll want to look in Appendix A (page 38 currently). You go through your tree in step 8, extra abilities from expertise trigger in step 10a (for the attacker). So in your example, you would do Crosshair's tree (in order) then later do the reposition from expertise.

First of all very good video and second from where do you have this terrain?
Most of the terrain in this video is official terrain. The rocks are 3D prints from Txarli Factory and the circular platform is a 3D print from Epic Duck!
*Spoilers. When I saw how short the video was I knew it was a 2 round game. When I saw the rebels had Kanan and Mando, I knew who won lol.
"Oh, no! The Empire is sooo oppressive!" That was a really sad blowout
Great game. In my games, I tend to move shoot and forget the power of shooting first. Thanks for that. Oh and they were talking about rules on shooting through the door on a podcast I was listening to and they said you couldn’t because of the top down LOS rules. Is in the door isn’t there from that perspective. But I’m sure you could house rules or something. Best to talk to your opponent before starting to get clarification
There is no "correct" way to play that door, there are multiple ways that work. As you say, best to talk with your opponent. Luckily, mine was very agreeable ;)
@@BombadTactics Good for you. Every time I play myself as an opponent I get into a huge rules argument and end up flipping the table. Super frustrating

Why did hunter refresh a force when he went with the shatterpoint?
The mission card Shut Down the Alarms gives for refresh when you activate a unit with the Shatterpoint card!

In my newest video (Graffiti & Robots) I've changed up how I show unit cards, let me know if that is better!
32:43 being in full auto is a mistake. You could've just shot in face killed healed with her identity and step 6. And a wound. Saying if I wound them....and not realizing she only does 7 on full auto. But hey it's fine. Keep at it.

Where is the terrain files from :P, lovely reports
The main pieces are a mix of Corvus Terrain and Imperial Terrain
The UI is the best one I seen yet for Shatterpoint. It’s minimalistic and easy to follow.

It's a resin 3D print! The file is the utility speeder truck from Dark Fire Designs

For a one person show, your battle reports are incredible! Your camera angels and animated combat trees are a great touch. Keep up the good work! I think most of us would rather have uou enjoy the videos you make verses just pumping out "content"

Hey all! Apologies, the audio is a little scratchy in some places. I re-recorded a bunch of spots to try get the worst of it. It may be related to the new program so next video I'll try and make sure it's 100% clean and crisp!

Wow, what an interesting battle report idea! Definitely more interesting than TTS!
I try to imagine around terrain is garbage cans, hanging wires and little misc debris that our characters are hiding in or standing behind. So its less of what you see and more of a movie scene that your acting out with minis, if that makes any sense.
A couple of times you refer to using Mother Talzins reactive instead of the Nightsisters Acolytes reactive. They are both different activating conditions so can use both. Great vids though. Keep up the good work.
You can't use both life drain and coordinated fire in the same attack as both trigger off the attack action (and there is a one reactive per trigger limit) forums.atomicmassgames.com/topic/14164-life-drain-and-coordinated-fire/

This is extremely USEFUL! I've been playing this wrong for months. I thought it's only the same elevation for contesting only... IF this is ever updated by errata will you ever update the title of the video or make new contents for it? Thanks again!
depends on the magnitude and scope of the change! I'd take it on a case by case basis but I'd certainly want to do something to make sure the information I'm putting out there stays useful and accurate

Didn't realize you are engaged and lose the hunker before going up an ingress point. I usually just check at the end of the movement
Also, Crosshair's Relax, I'll handle this removes conditions with Units engaged with the defending character, not just within range 2
Super fun, Matt! I'm just getting into Shatterpoint and this exercise was really good to help practice even though I don't have many people to practice with at the moment.
I knew of the « being on gantry » situation, but had not been considering the second scenario… good to know, but I still hope they revise the cover rules 😂
Great table. Where are those large crates/containers from?
they are from Corvus Games Terrain. Technically speaking, only the big one is for sale. The pack comes with a small crate, but it doesn't fit together nicely so I cut the middle part out of the big one (in microsoft 3D builder, nothing fancy) to make the small one

Wouldn't it have been better /easier to hit Kraken with the GI, repo or move to Grievous and use his ability to strip the point? Same result but you are more spread out and prevent another unit simply walking onto the point, they now have to attack you?
You could attack Kraken to achieve the same result, but it'll be difficult to shove him off the objective and you may get clapped back by Dooku. Even if you're successful, in either scenario the enemy just needs to move one body up to take either objective
In the second one, didn't you say the commandos are wounded? Therefore he should not provide extra dice for the Wolf pack trooper and Wolf Tropper is unlikely to push the B1 off, needing 2 successes, right?
Pack Hunter does not care about whether the clone buddy is wounded or not, so the Wolfpack would still get two extra dice in this case!
@@BombadTactics But wounded models do not engage enemy models, as per the wounded rules. So you can move freely even when within range 2 and therefore they are not engaging the enemy, therefore no extra dice. Am I getting this totally wrong? It doesn't say within range 2 but being engaged
@@beno5324 for movement we have this part "If a character is Engaged (See page 29) by a character in a Unit that is not Wounded". This implies that you can be engaged with wounded characters. SO probably you're getting it wrong, but it's a normal situation the way the corebook is structured =( UPD: Found a rule: A character is Engaged with enemy characters that are within Range (G) 2 of it, at the same Elevation, and within Line of Sight
@@beno5324 it is a common but, unfortunately, misplaced shorthand that wounded models do not engage. Wounded models still engage, which is relevant for things like Pack Hunter, Mace, and Cad. Things like climb are written along the lines of "characters cannot climb when engaged with a non-wounded enemy character" which is why some rules change when wounds happen
I gotta ask, cause I have seen the truck/vehicle terrain piece in the previous videos, but figured it's the one from the Vader/Obi diorama piece. But ow that I have mine, I can see that it ain't. Where does it come from?

@@BombadTactics just want to see a hondo and mando game running scoundrels or hondo and moff for the 2 reserve and then being able to shuffle it back in. Don’t know how effective it is but would be fun to see
@@jadencooper9370 Moff is not available yet (where I live), but he'll probably factor into some upcoming reports. Hondo I haven't bought, but if I do down the line then I'll keep this in mind!

good timing also with pin and strain, if you are pin and make a move action you dont move and remove the pin but that doesnt active the strain condition
