Did you say 45mm?
Yep, 45mm 8 point socket cap
is a great looking bike. how many hours did that take for the valve check ?
@@dd-yg3cx Indian says 2.5 for a check. Id say more like 3.5 if you have all your tools and have done it before and factor cleaning and road test.
Looks great man
I gotta say, nice video. I like watching one done by someone that actually knows how to wrench. Getting ready to do my 1980 SP1000, only I have to try and get a Heli Coil in the damned thing. My bolts all come out, one was just stripped out by a previous owner. Nice job.
So kind, thank you!
This vid is my manual for a fork seal change I'm currently doing on my L6 gsxr 1000.
Awesome! If it has a big piston fork in it should be the same as the video. Just double check the final oil volume and weight for your bike. Usually in the user manual.
Would be intresting if youd do a non Ai voiceover. Anyway ive been upgrading my Sv650x with a Wilbers rear shock and ill be replacing my front fork Springs to Wilbers progressive ones! Due to my Location Wilbers is only a few bucks more expensive than Hyperpro. Performance wise the rear shock so far has made my rear far more stable, so it was a worthwile investment.
Thanks dude. Good luck with the Wilbers, i hear great things about them. As for the AI, all my current videos i use my real voice now i have a decent microphone. Appreciate the feedback though.
Hey from where can I get this kit
JD customs
Great selection of tool, well organized well used 👏
Great tour! Snap-On ratchets are dual pawl 80 tooth 3/8 or 72t 1/4, unless you have the newest 100t Cynergy version. That said, stick with the dual 80! I have SO ratchets but if you ever wanna try something different, pick up a Koken ratchet (same brand as your extensions), you'll never go back. I have a Vrod and my favorite ratchet is actually Japan made KTC rotohead. Works as a ratcheting nut driver making it super fast for MC work. I've become a huge fan of Japanese made tools, Koken, KTC, Tone and Vessel for Screwdrivers. Vessel has the JIS tip that fit Japanese bike fasteners so much better than Phillips, you'll be amazed at the difference. Higher quality, attention to detail and machining than US made gear imo. Koken is hust top notch for anything socketry related. As far as Torx/Allen bits, most tool trucks rebrand VIM, as they do Irwin/Hanson for extractors. If you want some stubby impacts that won't break, pick up the stubby S2 steel VIM sets, dual drive so they'll take a wrench or a ratchet which is handy in tight spots. I've had the stubby impact Torx/Allen for years and they're still kickin with the Milwaukee impacts. Very reasonably priced, and guaranteed for life as well. Thanks for the MotionPro sparkplug socket/seal remover tip, looks great, will grab a set of both!... If you ever want to try another wallet for your personal drawer, I'm Canadian so I cannot recommend mine. Awesome, detailed tour & a nice set-up man👍🏻
Thanks dude, appreciate the info, I have used Koken and they’re great too. Always open to reviewing a tool kit from any manufacturer that wants to send me one haha. Merry Christmas my dude🎄.
Dont drink the snap on Kool Aid bro. Go and watch Project Farm's videos on the best ratchet. He's made 2 different videos now of a gearwrench ratchet outperforming a snap on ratchet for a 1/4 of the price. Btw, the reason you've never seen a snap on flex head ratchet break at the yoke is because they design the anvil to fail 1st. They do this with a lot of their tools so instead of having to replace your whole tool, they can just replace the cheapest part and give you your old shit back. It's so you pay ridiculously high prices for the tool originally, then when it breaks, they just have to replace the cheapest part for you instead of replacing the entire tool. Snap on just isnt worth the money anymore. There are litrally a dozen different Taiwanese branded tools that perform the exact same, or even better in some cases. You've also got Japanese, German, and Swedish tools that are premium brand tools for much much less as well. There are also a dozen other USA made tool brands that cost 50% less than snap on if USA made is what you're after. Great set up though bud!! Thanks for the video 👍
Cheers dude. Im not a snap on loyalist and happy to use whatever brand if they are good but i have been happy with my snap on tools and experience. I think their quality is there still there on their legacy products still. Merry Christmas my dude
@@paz2wheelsMerry Christmas my guy!! ⛄
Project farms reviews on tools are nonsense.. He's not and actually mechanic using the tools 9 hours a day 5 to 6 days a week. Watch a channel like south main auto or some heavy diesel mechanics that work the crap out of the tools from day to day. That's a proper tool review. Or ask guy's that's been in the trades 30 + years
Thanks @Juan-Prop for suggesting the video.
What a incredible toolbox one of the most cleanest and professional that I have seen in Australia ! I enjoyed the video ! Keep it going man ! You are a professional motorcycle technician ! Merry Christmas!
Cheers dude and have a merry christmas
so far the first video with such a good and accurate description ! Thx ;)
god that cover on the front intake, what a pain in the ass.
Still easier than Fireblades 😅
Nice video. Ive got a 23 FTR Sport and it has been my favorite purchase. Keep up the solid content!
@alexdelta5516 they are really good bikes objectively and look amazing. As a Harley fan boy, i wanted to hate them but they are now one of my favourite bikes after working on so many. FTR sports are better cause they have sport bike rims and tyres which means you can get some real sticky tyres on there.
ηλεκτρονικη ειναι η αναρτηση;
Did you need to time the motor and get cylinder 1 at top dead center before you removed the tensioner? Or are you able to remove the tensioner with the crank/motor in any position? I dont want the chain to skip a tooth off the camshaft and cause any more trouble lol
That can happen on some engine configurations. According to the service manual this engine does not require that if you remove it carefully and dont attempt to turn the engine over.
Awesome good to know. Im happy to say after replacing the cam chain tensioner with a new one it solved that pesky rattle 🙌🏽
Makes me want to buy a bike again.
it's refreshing to see someone take pride in what they're doing and do it the proper way! great job and great video. much love from Milwaukee Wisconsin usa
Appreciate it man! Cheers from Aus!
I love that book
Eagles don't soar on jetstreams hanging on to ape hangers 😅

Nah… I’d wait for a better quality kit. No offense to you but it looks like shite.
What size risers did you go with ?
6 inch rise
Hello ! Really nice videos ! I just watched all in a row ! Can i ask you something? Which brand are your mini pry bars ? Thanks for the videos ! Seriously i want to learn more and more ! Greetings from A Colombian living in Adelaide 🥹 (you should do a tool box tour btw) thanks man !

What can I say 😢
Check out Zen Motorcycles in Sydney Australia. We are the only people who care more about your bike than you do!
How do you like it? Im personally more a fan of the Rapid Bike Evo as that has built in autotune. You should also really take a look at the malossi velocity stacks (intake manifolds) for the 560. They are cheap and give a nice boost in power throughout the rev range! Nice vid btw!
Thanks dude! No im new into the world of TMax’s. I can see why the velocity stacks would make a difference on this thing.
Like those stock grips, eh?
Yep
Looks like you will need to take the exhaust off to open the battery cover lol
You mean the customer will have to or pay me to remove the exhaust 🤫
Enjoy the video and check out Zen Motorcycles in Sydney Australia!

Looks cool man
Thank you!
Incredible
Thank you!
Nooooo 😭
Horrible
Looks rubbish 🤮
Appreciate the feedback. Check out some of the other builds Ive done my dude. 👍
This is lame. I've replaced my shock on my 3gen sv twice and never had to remove the tank.
Wow good for you dude! More than one way to skin a cat a i guess? 😂
Why do you have to keep replacing shocks out of interest?
I was recommended the wrong spring rate for my K tech razor R shock. I could not set my sag correctly. Had to remove it and replace with the right spring, .95 for my weight.
Where did you get the idea these J series engines are known for vibration?? The kit is awful by the way
I know because all of them vibrate an insane amount when compared to modern standards. The kit was supplied by the customer. Thanks for the feedback 👍
How do you get the tool kit if you need? I do not like this project, just my opinion.
Think the tool box is not used anymore. Appreciate the feedback.
Would it make sense to only upgrade the forks? I feel like the original shock is not to bad, but the forks are really awefull.
yep they are pants.
Eh, I upgraded the rear shock first as it felt too much like a pogo stick to me. So Getting a cheaper shock with adjusted preload to your weight and riding style would improve the overall handling of the bike by alot. I think you can get a decent rear shock for about 300-400 bucks new.
@@stronkgermanium5198 thanks, I think I get what you are saying. One question though, does upgrading the shock and setting a much higher preload not make the forks bottom out?
Those parts looked a bit shoddy but you got them installed. They should get dual sport tires. Don't know if you follow Ride With Warro but he takes his Classics off road all the time down there. You Aussies are a crazy bunch. Cheers from SoCal 🏖
Not familiar with Warro my friend. The parts were pretty poorly preassembled, i have a feeling the customer bought them used off another rider.
Name of handle bars... what is the tallest bars I can use without extending cables...lmk
Barcraft Apes 12". Made in Australia. I am not a psychic, therefor, I do not know what bike you have and how it is currently set up. As a professional, I would always recommend modifying cables to suit the bars when going higher or lower. Sometimes you can get away without changing them if going an inch or 2 up or down but I don't recommend this as cables can bind and stretch if they don't have slack when static.
Size of bars and brand...lmk
Carlini Design 14” Gangster Apes Made in USA
No way I would put that on my 350. Its all just for show. All show, no go.
