Montreal has the best public transport in North america , modern, fast, high tech ( inetrent network) , safe , clean . Montreal is a UNESCO city of design and it shows. Torontohas a horrible, old, nous, ugly station, slow and no internet network ...

@@jeanbolduc5818 I visited and think the montreal subway is too small for my liking. Horrible air circulation I can literally feel peoples breathing circulating among the cars. Even with the rubber tires and Star Wars lighting , not a pleasant experience.

French is the official language in Quebec. All you have to do is read the signs to see what station you're at. The announcements in french for stations are pretty simple. It's when there are announcements for line closures that it can be difficult to understand if you don't know French.

The same remark for Toronto, and what about French-speaking tourists visiting your city ?

There's no reason to "modernize". Steel wheels are the superior technology, they have very little friction and zero rolling resistance.

Also, the rolling noise from tires is usually louder than steel wheels, this section of the Toronto Subway is unusually loud because of the very tight turn the trains make going in and out of Union Station.
