SAFE! Runner slid into the tag in the middle of the plate.was safe. The catcher got lazy and didn't attack the runner and didnt fully block the plate. Don't give the runner a chance to score, attack the runner before they can touch the plate. The batter sold out the runner by leaving the box too early. That was a golden opportunity to get a catcher's interference call without even swinging his bat, the catcher had to go way forward just to get to the ball. Make the pitcher throw to you, don't give him an easy chance for a putout and always offer your runner stealing by with a gratuitous swing thru at the ball. Some of the videos make it easy to critique the umpires. This is one of them. It may have been home plate's call but he was completely out of position to make this call.All he was looking for: 1 was the tag and 2 did the catcher hang on to the ball thru the slide. The field umpire even from where he was positioned, had a clearer view of the tag than his partner. As for the balk you can't see where the pitcher's feet are, if the batter would have stayed in I believe that a balk would have been called. The only mistake the runner from third made was not shaking the pitcher's hand before stealing home.
