Odesseus was facing poseidon but not just poseidon but the very ocean and its rage. Poseidon's rage, the rage of a person whos son had been hurt. Poseidon and the very ocean was smcalling for Odesseus to get in the water so they can exact vengeance. (Im so tired so this probably is horrid imma probs edit it and finish it later)
