I am amazed how this track has evolved. I remember it back when we used to ride our 50cc bikes out there to watch the club races. Very well done, and thank you on behalf of all motorsport fans.

So glad to see my bike racing "home" is so successful I raced motorcycles there from 1980 to 1982, then I left to try my luck in America, I won a few yearly divisional championships and finished 4 in the nation 3 times. Keep up the great work, because who knows, the next Kork Ballington (sp?) an the next Jon Eckerholt (sp?) May be sitting in the stands

It's noteworthy that a US real estate development trend is the motorsports "country club." I certainly hope this continues on, and ignites a racing passion in the next generation.

It's a pity that motorcycle racing is not mentioned ....

When karting lost their circuit at the old Flying Saucer Roadhouse, it moved to Zwartkops in 1973. I raced karts there when it still belonged to Ster Kinekor. Gradually the kart circuit was improved and thankfully Peter du Toit obtained the circuit and revitalized motorsport in Pretoria. My first Group N race at Zwartkops was in 1989. It was a fun and challenging little anti clockwise race track which utilized half of the original circuit of the 60s, and left the kart circuit alone to utilize the other half of the original circuit. Karting hosted several CIK events on that circuit. World Champions like Lennaet Bohlin, Martin Hines and a certain young Michael Schumacher competed there in the 80s. I have never raced on the new Zwartkops but have done some practice laps. My sons and grandson have raced on that fantastic new kart circuit. Zwartkops is a vibey motorsport hub which has a fantastic atmosphere. Spending a Wednsday afternoon at the track is a special experience. I hope to compete at the 2025 Festival of Speed. Salute to Peter du Toit and his team for having the vision to create this great venue.
