MRS Training and Rescue featured on BBC Look North 18 December 2023
It was great to welcome BBC Yorkshire to MRS Training & Rescue in Knottingley and show them the work we do.
18 December 2023 marked 8 years since the last shift at Kellingley Colliery - known to most as the 'Big K'.
Although this was the last deep coal mine in the UK to close and the need for mines rescue in coal mines ended, we have diversified and used the skills and experience we gained working underground to rescue mine workers, to now provide unique rescue services, consultancy and a comprehensive range of accredited health and safety related products, training and services to a wide range of industries.
