The original is actually a stock sound effect, as were most of the old monster roars. That’s why Gen 5 phased a bunch of them out. Look up “The Relic Torching the Creature Movie Clip”, you’ll hear fatalis. I like how they still incorporated some of the screeching sounds he makes in the new one though since it’s basically his identity.

Monster hunter 3 tri had almost all of the same audio roars for world

they really had to ruin rathalos and rathian roar but their new roars are more realistic.. i still preferred the old ones

damn Dire Miralis sounds like terror also, btw i think there's 1 more older version of Rathalos roar, from the 1st gen, but it is similar to that one so it's fine
