Why does the barbarian warrior not capture your defenceless city/towns? They attack mine, even on governor.

3 scouts is crazy, I get attacked by barbarians before then, or independant states w/e they are called now lol

You might be able to make a road from Athens to Korinth with a merchant. I don't know how it works but merchants do have a "make road" ability. Also I don't think it's a bug, I think towns are supposed to work like that so they specifically send food to the city next to them instead of just spreading it across the empire. It sure would be nice if the game explained this at all.

I tried that map seed and wow its wild.

I wish I could play 50 turns without crashing or DCing or most other players DCing 🫠 I love the game but they have to fix so much

I really appreciate this video, because prior to watching this, I wasn't able to enjoy the game at all, really. Despite playing thousands of hours in prior versions, when I played this version, I was utterly lost. This video has helped me understand how to play this iteration of the game.

Are mining towns just useless then? If it's high production I want a city. If its high food I want farming town

45:26 How come you took the tile on the top here instead of the tile on the bottom? I understand it’s the “lesser tile” but wouldn’t you have received +1 happiness if you had placed it on the bottom tile instead?

Could anyone suggest how food from towns is spreading between cities? Does it provide food only to the closest city? Or to all cities? Or to all cities within a certain range? Would rly appreciate

... Drongo? Didn't realize you played Civ! I just picked the game up. Played 5 a while, way more on 6, and now checking out 7. Learning curve but powering through.

Question about scouts, I saw you bring them back to your city early on (I’m guessing for the sake of the video) but normally would you just send them off into the fog until they die? One more, you also said you normally make scout, scout, scout then a settler but you only made 2 scouts this time, I’m not sure if it was for the video or you just accidentally said scout 3 times. Common sense stuff but I’m smol brain when it comes to this game Also, as you said, Catherine is good to be placed on tundra, but you opted to build on the fresh water instead. Was this for the video, or would you normally build in the fresh water over tundra with Catherine? Thank you very much this video helped a lot, sorry for all the questions!

Thanks for the video, but I can't seem to feel good about the game. I just don't like it. It's overly complicated and just ugly to look at. And the changes from one era to another are so abrupt. I just don't enjoy it. Worst $120 I have ever spent on a game.

Is there any advantage to combining specific buildings together or does it just stop occupying a multiple tile? Also when you get to overbuilding is there any benefit to prioritising it or just use new tiles?

Am am playing my first game this evening. I will attempt to conquer/subjugate a hostile town because I d9nt know how to befriend it yet. I also have my capital and one town after 32 turns.

Thanks, but further on from your Save Config part. I have saved the config I like but of course it keeps giving me the same seed, what can I do to those numbers to change each 'roll'?! is it just a case of randomly changing a single digit in the number?

First time civ player here. My first question is about game speed. Online means i make things slowly and marathon means making those same things will take less turns?

What’s going on in the video? What’s the point of including footage that can’t even be followed? I can’t tell if it relates to what you are talking about. Interesting subject that I need to get a handle on but this format meant I didn’t make it to the end … totally confused trying to see what you are doing and also comprehend and actually absorb what you are saying.
