This session has helped me gain a new appreciation for Cranes, particularly the Sandhill and Whooping Cranes, that are native to North America. I'm hoping to be able to experience them in person the near future. I also find it amazing that some Cranes residing in the north migrate across the Bering Strait and nest in Siberia!

Nice introduction, well done. Question, would most of the Grasslands in Wisconsin traditionally have existed on the plains surrounding the sandhill area?

I just want to know can we hunt them with our big bore rifles all year round on the management areas? Just seems to me if we could more people would possibly hunt them kinda dangerous with a .22
