In this test a 100 Ah, 12,8 V ECO-WORTHY LiFePO4 battery is discharged in a controlled way to verify its capacity. It was showed that the battery capacity was perfectly in line with the specification. @StreetlevelEngineering-uc5cb

Can a LiFePO4 battery be charged by a standard lead-acid charger? In this test a 100 Ah, 12,8 V ECO-WORTHY LiFePO4 battery is charged by a CTEK MXS 7.0 charger. @StreetlevelEngineering-uc5cb

Yes, you are right. I used two BLi300 batteries for this work. I emptied the first and used 25 % of the second.

Thank you. The boat is 8 m long and has a weight of 3.2 ton. I just checked the batteries this weekend and they were at good voltage, waiting for the spring.
If you paid for the battery thumbs up because there was a high degree of probability the battery would have been damaged.

I have now used it for a season powering an electric outboard motor, being charged by solar cells. Works well. Now it is stored in the boat at sub zero temperature. Voltage remains at 13,1 V. I would carry 2-4 extra chains if something dulls them easy to change them out and sharpen at home on a proper sharpener .

Intressant och välgjord video! Exakt denna modell fanns hemma på gården hos min mormor. Jag minns när den var helt ny på början av 70-talet. Innan hade man använt en hästdriven slåtterbalk som hade en kortare kniv än den nya och med traktordrift gick det då mycket snabbare. Sedan kördes släpräfsa efter häst (på senare år även en traktordriven sådan) och höet hässjades sedan. Riktig nostalgi att se din "in action". Jag minns att slipningen av kniven gjordes på slipsten och det var nog lite bökigt att hålla den långa kniven i rätt vinkel mot stenen. Hälsningar från Jämtland

spelar ingen roll hur fort eller sakta man kör tyvärr dom blir jätte skrot när man väl kör på något tyvärr
Tror den kallades Sprinter för att den var lite högvarvigare än vanligt. Ska du förvara den utomhus så täck över hela inkl knivbalk efter rostskyddsbehandling, annars åldras den snabbt. Kniven bör tas ur och förvaras under tak. Manualen säger eg. allt du behöver veta, guld att den följde med.

Kul! Hittade en slåtterbalk i ett stenjäre här hemma, lite svets, knivslipning, nya remmar, ny drivpinne så går den. Men det är lite att lära sig hur man bäst kör den. För mycket gult gräs eller för nära marken så verkar den sätta igen och överbelastningsskyddet löser ut.
Kul med din kommentar! Ja, jag köpte min på en auktionssajt för 5200 kr och den var i helt ok skick. Bra att läsa att det verkar vara robusta grejer - Jag kommer tyvärr behöva förvara min utomhus. Trimma in höjden verkar ju vara en grej man kan jobba med. Jag kände inte riktigt marken, så jag tog det försiktigt, men några gånger löste överbelastningsskyddet ut.
@@StreetlevelEngineering-uc5cb skönt med grejer som är bra från början! Angående utomhusförvaring så spar man väldigt mycket på redskapen om de inte står direkt på marken. Så försök ställa den på en lastpall åtminstone (som i sin tur får stå så den inte suger vatten direkt från jord). Sen kan man binda över en presenning när den regnina perioden börjar, dra på lite skyddsolja (Biltema, sprayburk) på de delar som inte är målade så rostar de inte ens av eventuell kondens. Mycket nöje med balken!
Det saknas en trävinge med spröt längst ut på slåtterbalken, den har till uppgift att skapa en rent spår där du slagit för att enklare slå nästa slag. Sök på slåtterbalk eller sicklebar mower så ser du hur den ska se ut.

Ja, precis jag har noterat att den saknas. Jag tror jag kör utan och håller det hela lite enklare. Din översättning av slåtterbalk är nog bättre, ”sickle bar mower” än ”mower beam”. Jag ska lägga till det sökordet.

What did the manual or documentation suggest to use as a charging source. Or the charging specification
The manual does not go to fundamentals on this point. It only says ”Use a special charger for lithium battery” and ”Check that the charging voltage corresponds to the battery requirements.” No deeper info what suitable voltage would be. It is needed to do some research to figure out that there is a match. It was clear to me that 14.4 V was the max voltage from the charger (and only for a limited time) and that this would be fully ok for the battery. In addition to this good fundamental match there is the BMS that would protect from too high charge voltage. Good basic conditions and the BMS made me confident that it should work well, but I monitored the charging process if there would occur some problem I had not foreseen.
Thanks for this video. I still do not trust lithium, far too many fires, too many houses being burned down, too many cars catching on fire, and almost nothing can be done to stop it when it starts. Where I started losing faith in Lithium is my phone, batteries never last long, yet we are told they last for 10 years, my phone barely get 2 years before you need to replace them. So I cant trust this battery you show or others to last as long as they may claim. For small scale hobbies I can still justify them, but not for long term projects.
Thanks for the comment. This is my first experience of LiFePO4. I will use this battery in my sailboat and it will be interesting to see if it will degrade significantly. I will be able to get some feedback on any degradation since I have good monitoring in the boat. When it comes to safety I think it is needed to consider the amount of lithium batteries there is nowadays. Everyone has a cellphone. Electric cars has large batteries with several hundreds or thousands of cells. I think it works very good. I agree about capacity regarding the cellphone. This video was captured on my second (!) smartphone, an iPhone8. I use them for long! And yes, the battery degrade a bit. I have changed battery once or twice since I bought it 7 years ago..

I guess that as long as the charger keeps the voltage regulated at what is acceptable for the battery then all should be well. I see you use a modern automatic smart lead-acid charger. Not to use an 'old fashioned' unregulated lead-acid charger though as their off-load voltage could be as high as 18 volts- and that would make the experiment TOO interesting. ;)
Hi! Nice with a comment! Yes, it is true. This charger will not go higher than 14,4 Volt. In addition to that the battery management system protects from overcharge / too high voltage and also over discharge / too low voltage. I provoked the battery and triggered the last one in my discharge test that I will share.
From what I have heard and read, the Float Voltage should NOT be any higher than 13.35 Volts and maybe even 13.33 ( which is the overnight Resting Voltage of a Fully Charged Lifepo4 Battery
