From the teasers they both shared today it looks like it’s going to be two watches. One from each brand, I for one was really hoping for an affordable Moser. But we will know more tomorrow.
It does look super cool but it might be hard to read at times.

This is a great field watch for the price, with minor changes it could be almost perfect.
I think the movement choice might have been done to prevent over winding. That being said I think it looks awesome! I agree with you on the paperwork and unboxing. Maybe Russ should have put a note or some merch in there like a sticker to add a personal touch and as a thank you for supporting him. So judging from your experience... Good but has room for improvement.
For sure it is a super watch and I hope for his next release he makes the experience more enjoyable.

I am a huge lover of the MoonSwatch, I have about 20 Swatch watches so the plastic doesn’t bother me. It has allowed me to try out a Speedy for very little money. I am now considering getting a Speedy at some point, something I was not considering before. Hope you have lots of fun with the new Moonswatch
@watch-this-official my grandfather had a speedy and without a doubt in my mind is the best watch I have EVER held in my life if you aren't accustomed to having high end nit-picking views on watches. The build is fantastic and it is amazing definitely buy if you have the money
The money part is the only obstacle 😂, but yes for sure it is on the list.

When Russ said he was going to make something I thought it would be wild and colorful and maybe Seiko-ish. This is classy and restraint and functional! Nothing mad about it! I quite like it!
It is subdued for sure but at the price point is a great field watch. I will wear it for a while before doing a review video. It so far so good.

@kenster1960 I am really ending my one too, as I said in the video though the unboxing experience was a bit disappointing. But as a mechanical field watch it is probably up there as a great option at the price. Can I you, did you get any notification that it was going to be delivered or did it just show up?

You mention paying about 200 eur for the import I.e. 21% tax and x% import levy. From my understanding the base price of the watch should be 850 including 20% GB VAT, which, according to their site should not be included into the base price for any shipment to the EU. DDU (Duty delivery unpaid) So the import basis should around 708 (850 - 20% GB VAT) + 149 (21%) and an additional 50 euro import tax to get your 195 paid. The watch should be 910 (rounded). Instead of the 1k you mentioned correct?
No exactly, I paid the £850 as you mentioned plus the import duty on top. So in my case it was almost €1200 in total. In the UK it was the flat £850 as the VAT was excluded.

I think these models need to be assessed on their own merits in isolation. We need to stop comparing them to our favourite classics and see if they can stand up on their own. Personally I like this new watch and picked one up yesterday for £265. I am very pleased so far with my purchase.
I am glad to here you enjoy the new Seiko. I am also a big fan of Seiko, I own 4 Seiko’s myself. I suppose all I was trying to say in the video is that the value proposition of a Seiko is more difficult today than it was in the past. I agree though that every watch is individual and should be assessed on its own merits. Hope you have many enjoyable years with your new purchase.

Citizen's BN015 series is the "New SKX" despite being a different movement from a different watchmaker. 65% off at the Citizen Store is the way to go. Im still a Seiko guy,but im in the 8L range now.
That is a good choice too. Citizen are making some really nice watches these days.
