For the Want of a Nail
Добавлен 24 июн 2021
No Fuss, BLUF discussion on equipment, mindset, training, preparedness and any other topic of interest for the everyday person and experienced citizen to become an asset for their family and be a helpful member of their community in any type of disaster or civil unrest. I work to keep my videos short and not flashy so i can get to the point and get you the information you need. This is not just for end of the world or large scale disasters, but those things that come up in everyday life.
The Devil is in the details and the smallest and most inconsequential things can have a big impact.

Ep. 27 Modified Nightcap

In this episode i will be sharing my modified Crye Precision Nightcap. All of these modifications were easy to complete and did not require any specialized equipment (but a sewing machine helps). These modifications make a big difference (for me) in the realm of comfort and usability. As i state in the video, the upgrade of the chin strap something everyone should do to increase comfort. Here i...
Ep. 26 Crye Nightcap unmodified

Overview of my unmodified Crye Nightcap. This is an interesting way to wear your NVGs of you do not want to be wearing a helmet. It is definitely easier to pack and carry than a ballistic or bump helmet. I am currently working on modifying this platform for increased comfort and usability. If you have any questions, please put them in the comments section below. And if you find value in these p...
Ep. 25 PVS 14 DIY Laynard
Просмотров 259Год назад
I hate spending hard earned money on something i can make. A quick DIY lanyard for rapid attachment to a helmet (or other Velcro surface). This was made with items i had sitting around. You could easily make this with shock cord as well (instead of 550). Having something like this is also good in an emergency (your fancy high priced lanyard breaks). Surviving isn't about what you can buy, it is...
