its a vocoder , you hold a synth chord (carrier signal) and use the vocal to shape the harmonics of the synth (called the modulator)

I love watching someone react to something I like, especially when they have some music cred. Hence, my love of the channel! 12ft Ninja is a good example of Aussie attitude paired with punk sensibilities. Oh, and they're pretty good musicians, too. There's a strong tradition of musical comedy/parody in the culture here-I think folks just don't like taking themselves too seriously in general. Sometimes my adopted home is pretty fun. :) Great review!

That was fun. I need to reflect on why i have an instant mental distancing from the kind of vocal diction or tone they used in the harsher sections... Other than that, the metal riffs were super angular and dissonant which was fun, and the non metal sections were well executed as well.

A metal band that can incorporate the triangle into their music has trewly been beesy!

Unfortunately they have officially disbanded as of this year. The vocalist left the band in 2022 and there was talk of another vocalist, but I guess that didn't work out.

You should check out his 'doo wop' bands from the 1950's and his band 'Elf' who opened for Deep Purple, how Ritchie Blackmore discovered him and formed the band Rainbow with him. NO, HE'S NOT ENGLISH, HE WAS AMERICAN, upstate New Yorker. He made Black Sabbath a much better band too, along with the much better writing HE brought to the band, he made all of the Ozzy era songs much BETTER when performed by him. Plus, he was a REALLY good guy too, known for that..

Motorhead most certainly influenced Thrash Metal, but they played loud Rock 'n' Roll. 1916 is a good song to counterweight this one. Slower pace, but just as engaging, and is one of my favourite anti-war tunes ever.
