Jurassic Park Home Pin
Просмотров 18 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I go over some of the features of the JP Home Pin. I’ve had a lot of people asking me how the Stern home pinball machine compares to the typical Stern Pro and Premium machines. I put together this video to hopefully answer some of the questions people have had. You can view pictures of the game at my website pixelsandpinball.com/products/jurassic-park-pin
Thanks for showing the ferrite install!
Yeah! A bunch other videos skipped this and the tie downs. Glad I came across this video.
Needed this video today. Thank you for posting. Love that a teenager is teaching an old guy how to install a shaker motor. You’re gonna do well in life. ❤
Thanks, I should have watched this first! LOL I used a strong magnet on the end of a straight blade screwdriver to pluck them out. 🙂
hi, where can find this version in europe? thanks
Do you sell this on ailibabba?
0:49 yikes your arms get really hairy
Dude
Let's get an instant replay of that. With 10x zoom.
MDF playfield? Thats just low rent. No way I would have anything to do with that
Ok cool
This young lady has very hairy arms (when adjusting the feet)
I absolutely loved the Jurassic Park Pinball in the arcades years ago. I would be a millionaire if I could get my quarters back. Lol
.. why is your Tshirt longer than your "pants"?
It’s like all the videos where shot on the same day
I just bought my first pinball machine, and this is very helpful. Thanks
Amazing
Thanks 🙏
Okay I an joyed this video about pinball machines
That’s why I want a pinball for Christmas
Okay 👍
i would do al ittle longer video more extensive and we can barely hear you
It still to expensive in my opinion. I don't have a lot of money. I have a old pin. cost 2000 euro's it's all the money I had. And it was difficult to save up that amount. In my opinion. If somebody has 5.000 euro's and is willing to pay that amount for a home pin. Then he also has the means and is willing to save up more for a full version. That price difference is not big enough to attract a lower income audience that don't buy pins because they are to expensive. Now I am not business expert. (If I was I would probably have a better salary to buy expensive pins) But what in my mind would make more sense. is that you don't offer 3 different home pins. You only offer 1. what would be a NON license. That alone will save cost. And because you only offer 1 home pin instead of 3. you can actually build more of them. The same amount that you normally would have made when you have 3 home games combined. Also bringing the cost down. And then have a longer production run what also brings the cost down. And since you have a much cheaper pin your more likely to sell more of them. If you can put a home pin on the market for 2,500 Then it becomes interesting to buy one. otherwise people are going to do the same thing I do. Buy a very old game. Because 5.000 is just simply out of reach. But this is just the opinion of somebody with a low income. That probably does not have any business insight like Stern Does. so what do I know.
thank you
Thanks
You know that Pinball 101 is an actual DVD made years ago by Keith Elwin, right?? Maybe change the name of this...
No bumpers?
Occam's razor ! Thanks for sharing !
Doesn't matter if you've collected, sold, studied, loved, repaired, restored, polished pinball machines for years and years: once in a while, you'll lift that damn playfield with the balls still inside (and then hope they haven't damaged a plastic or something like that). It's almost like Murphy's law.
I am a long time pinball collector. I would not be ashamed to have this game in my collection. unlike some other 'home' versions, this game looks complete, it does not seem stripped down
I heard it has more depth when playing as well compared to other home pins.
@@VintageTape1982 I am an older pinball player, I am not looking for games that are "deep"
@@peterbumper2769 does that mean that you like old pinball machine more then modern ones in general?
@@VintageTape1982 I do not hate modern games, there is a Godzilla machine that is tempting. But if I need to read the rules, and it takes 45 minutes to reach the wizard mode, then I just do not enjoy For me, pinball peaked in 1992
Pin looks a lot smaller than a regular pinball machine. It seems like the price is still too high for all the cut backs.
Just passing through and saw your video. You really need a better mic setup to hear you speak as its all muffled. Keep up the good work and you';; get more views
How about the gameplay?
I didn't do a game play video on this because other people had already posted videos on that.
Don't understand this save 1200 more and get the real pro version ,or am I crazy 😧
On what fucking planet? Earth? The pro is double the price
c est un flipper en copaux pressé même le plateau a stocké a bonne température avec une bonne hydrométrie si vous voulez le gardez longtemps
How many of these have you installed? Do they seem like they are selling well? I might buy one used if the price drops. The pinheads seem to look down on them, which might be good for finding a bargain some day.
I've sold a handful. Most of my customers want a standard Pro or Premium machine, but these home pins are really fun for the price.
I purchased this around Christmas and had some issues with it, bad opto sensors in the shooting lane which caused an error with the auto plunger. I posted on a FB group page about it, and George Gomez (Stern - CCO) actually helped me trouble shoot the issue. Got the new opto's installed and the game plays great! Only thing I don't care for is how tight it is to get the playfield out, I feel like I'm going to break the back vertical part of the playfield. Looking at your removal of the playfield, instead of taking off that one nut that is oriented vertically and harder to get to, the instructions say to take off that one bolt that is next to it using a socket. Much easier!
Are you still happy with your purchase? I already have a difficult game in my house (the Walking Dead), so I wanted to get something easy for non-pinball people to have fun with. I enjoyed the Star Wars Home pin when I played it. I just wasn't a fan of the theme. But Jurassic Park is in my wheelhouse. I think this Home pin at half the price of the Premium is a good value buy. Do you agree?
@@IDrink2Much I love the theme, and so does the family. I definitely think a JP belongs in our lineup, but I do wish that I would have gotten the full size PRO instead. The game plays so much better with the new opto's that Stern sent me, but I do wish that I would have gotten a PRO or Premium, but since this was my first pin, it's great for what it is.
@@mattskillman thanks! i was on the fence because I love how Home Editions shoot over the Pro, but you are missing a lot of other things the Pro has that adds to its replay value. I'll definitely be purchasing a Pro. Now I just need to decide if I want JP or AIQ. 🤣
@@IDrink2Much Have you already bought a Pro? I wouldn't discredit the Home version. The shots are tight and fast, and the two wizard modes aren't exactly easy to get to. Each multiball is exciting and the bonuses at the end of your ball can make/break your score.
@@chadalexander1924 I finally got to play one at TPF. It was very fun, but I also got to play Cactus Canyon Remake. 😁 I ended up putting a deposit in on that. I think it shoots even nicer than the original. Of course I needed the topper, so I'll be waiting awhile for it. However, there is still room in my collection for a JP Home in the future. I thought it was great! 👍
The backglass and art is better than the pro model in my opinion
Yeah, I agree with you.
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks!
Great review thank you, I have my one on order 😀
I have it now, I’m really happy with it. It is a fast fun table with plenty of challenge
