Goddamnit - I thought I was through crying over this show!! YT just dropped this video in my lap and I don't know whether to be grateful or angry that it is this good. It's just - god this is so good. I tend to 'assign' artists to TV shows when they seem to be a perfect fit for one another, when the majority of their songs could easily apply to the themes of the show. OFMD gets Olivia Rodrigo and Fleetwood Mac. This is simply wonderful.

Oh my gosh, this video is AMAZING! Everything from the song, to how the lyrics are paired with the visuals, to the way some of the lines are subtitled as “Blackbeard” and some as “Ed”, and to the absolutely genius recontextualising of some of the dialogue (eg. “Act or die”, “Perform like it’s your last day on earth”) perfectly portray these characters’ relationship and the unhealthy power they wield over each other. Absolutely brilliant work and easily one of the best edits out there. It’s criminal it doesn’t have more views. 😄

I love the comparison you have of Ed & the image his reputation has to their meeting, highlighting Stede’s gradual admiration to affection turning to love. Then you show their growth between being a canon couple & resembling each other, & their growth as characters- in parallel scenes which I loved how the show aesthetically compared through similar scenes
