Today we visited McFeeters Motor Museum in Forbes N.S.W. and really glad we did. The owners were wonderful and allowed me to shoot this video, which I did without using my gimbal, as I find it creates more shakes than when recording freehand. I hope you enjoy watching and if so, please click the Like button and consider subscribing to follow us on the rest of our half lap journey into Queenslan...

Its very interesting to hear the growth pattern differences between plants.. I wonder if fontanesii would be bigger in a subtropical setting, as Mark is in a full tropical setting..

Hi Kylie, no that's the interesting thing, as I sent some pups from my almost 9 foot fontanesii to Mark and also someone else in Cairns a year or so ago and they have not grown anywhere near as tall or as dark as mine in SA. As I mentioned in the video perhaps that species (fontanesii) needs the conditions found down south to grow to these proportions. It appears fontanesii, Black Beauty and one or two others need the cooler winter and less intense sun of the cooler months to produce the almost black leaves. Good old nature huh?
