Not suitable for silent environments, makes annoying buzzing sound!
How to change background illumination on Logitech G610 without any software
Просмотров 16 тыс.7 лет назад
To change the background illumination / lightning mode on a Logitech G610 Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, just press brightness key {0,1,2,3,4,5}. Pretty cool feature since the Logitech software is not available on Linux!

    Thank you so much. On my Linux system, this default illumination sucks really hard. Now I know, just press `Brightness` + `0` and you have a normal illumination without crazy blooming shit. Tank you ♥

    I'm very thankful for your video. Apparently, I turned my constant setting back to default by mistake. When I installed my keyboard, as you know, there was a complicated set of directions to follow to set your preferred lighting setup (I chose plain constant white). I expected to be directed to this Logitech software in settings when I needed to reset my keyboard but was not, so I was in the dark so to speak. Hopefully, I can find the software or link sometime. Thanks again!

    Logitech provides like 6 different bloatware applications to 'manage' your keyboard, but not even a single simple PDF manual that outlines basic functions. this is like a microcosm of everything wrong w/ some tech companies

    Now if only you could turn that into a good solid keyboard. I hate this keyboard so much and this video solved one of my issues but the keyboard keycaps fall off...you heard right. When typing the windows key cap and X key fly off when typing.

      Yeah... I bought this because I wanted a backlit keyboard. I'm not interested in the gaming aspect. Bought Logitech because - name brand. But the clicking is already driving me nuts.

      Henrik Gram: yes there is. In all modes except for full power medium and coolest temperature it is really noticeable. And even in those it is present.

    This keyboard has more lighting features installed in the keyboard than in the actuall software.

    I already stumbled upon this "secret" in some online discussions, but thanks for uploading this! I didn't know you could also switch to the other modes by pressing other numbers. My Logitches G10 Orion Brown will arrive tomorrow and I'm only going to use it for typing on my Mac, so downloading the exagerrated logitech software would be too much. with this, I can just switch to constant illumination. can you also dim the constant illumination by pressing the lighting-button?

    • @cc2x5yy
      @cc2x5yy 7 лет назад

      >> can you also dim the constant illumination by pressing the lighting-button? Yes, iirc there are 4 different modes for the brightness of the background illumination. you can toggle though those modes using the dedicated lightning-key!

    Hallo, danke für das Video, eine Frage hätte ich zu dem Panel: Die Dicke ist von IKEA mit 4cm angegeben, wäre es evtl möglich den Transformator/w-lan-Empfänger außerhalb des "Gehäuses" zu betreiben, sodass man, nach dem Kürzen der Ränder das Ganze etwas flacher bekommt? Weshalb ich frage: Ich hatte vor ein Panel von unten an einem Regalbrett zu befestigen. Danekschön!

    • @cc2x5yy
      @cc2x5yy 7 лет назад

      Hey, glaube das sollte grundsätzlich funktionieren. Allerdings müsste man sich dann selbst eine Lösung für die Befestigung überlegen, die beiliegende Halterung doch recht weiter heraussteht.

    Hat das Panel tatsächlich Nebengeräusche? Das wäre ein Ausschlusskriterium für mich, obwohl ich sowas schon länger suche.

    • @cc2x5yy
      @cc2x5yy 7 лет назад

      Mein Exemplar hatte relative starke Nebengeräusche. Das Surren war so laut, ich habe das Panel letztendlich wieder demontiert und zurückgegeben.

    • @Vulpecula607

      crs qq Hm, ja, das wäre eine Möglichkeit. Zum Glück ist Ikea da immer recht kulant.

    • @cc2x5yy
      @cc2x5yy 7 лет назад

      Habe das LED-Panel am Stromanschluss an der Decke angeschlossen. Es gibt bei IKEA aber auch ein Kabel für das Panel. Damit könnte man es direkt an einer Steckdose betreiben.

      Probably. Though it depends on the size and layout of your room.
