Put some contact paper or tape copy paper to the back of your plate and you can see how much ink you are wiping off.

You should put the piece your flattening in between release paper to avoid any thing sticking and NEVER EVER EVER pull out a plug by grabbing the cord!!!!! Also don't hang the cord next to a HOT heat press, you can melt the plug or the cord.

That's a.lovely.print ! I really love watching other artists creating wonderful things on RUclips and you're a talented printer for sure! I' m not too well with MS & sadly my eyesight is getting bad with.it so was thinking of getting g back into exploring printing techniques again as fine detailed work & standing up.at an easel for hours is making me feel worse :( I only found out about these Pin Presses today & they intrigue me but at £350 or nearly 500 dollars I can't justify that outlay ( well just not in I e payment ) without understanding the difference between one and say a top of the range rolling pin?.I' he just watched a lady do a beautiful.monoprint ( she obviously works demonstrating them for the manufacturer) and the press just softly glided over the back.of the paper & it pulled a gorgeous non patchy if I g without her applying any physical exertion..I.noticed you are having to turn your role & print & seem to apply a lot.more pressure ( different technique I.know )/ but did you.pay that amount of money.and if so can you use it for raised plates like collagraph.plates & simple lino prints. When I had access & was more phys well than I.am now I.used a beautiful cast iron Victorian flat bed printing press ,they are VERY expensive in Britain & the Victorian cottage I.life in the floorboards wouldn't cope with the weight ...so.I.just want a press to use at home but £350 seems a lot of money ,what do you think.of them & have you tried other techniques with it ?? Huge thanks if you can let me know and stay safe during this dreadful pandemic we are in full lockdown for the second time here in England time to be creative or go mad 😉lol

I have a pin press and use it very little because it is heavy and does not do my back well. It is best to look for a table press. Depending on the size of your print and your technique the adptade presses are cheaper than professional presses. I refer to mangles, pasta machine, craft cutting machines, all of which offer excellent results. On visual problems there is great progress towards the most different problems using daily exercise therapy. The best known is the Meir Schneider method, good luck!
