​@@nolanr1400 No, it's not original engine. Type 23 (benzine model) was produced with a 11-MI engine (very similar to Traction 11 engine). Type H was modified in 1964 and was produced with H72 and H78 engines (derivated from ID19 engine).

Je savais vaguement qu'ils avaient le moteur de la traction, et que le moteur des DS en était aussi une évolution, mais ce qui m'étonne aujourd'hui, c'est que le moteur de la traction suffisait pour le U23 🤔 🤔 Un souvenir rigolo sur le U23: il fallait batailler ferme avec l'avance à l'allumage pour le faire avancer correctement 😂 Let me know if you don't understand what I'm saying I'll go ahead in English .

@@nolanr1400 Le moteur de la traction n'est pas tout à fait identique. Le couple max du U23 (15 m.kg) est à 2000 tours/mn, celui de la traction à 3000. L'arbre à cames est sensiblement différent. Et si ce moteur fait 55 ch, c'est à 3800 tours/mn, ce qui ferait d'après les critères actuels (si ce moteur pouvait tourner à 6000 tours/mn) quelque chose entre 80 et 90 ch. Largement suffisant pour tirer l'engin. Le vrai problème du U23, c'est sa boîte de vitesses. Avec une boîte à étage, il serait bien moins handicapé dans les côtes.

@@DimitrisSartzetakis Every now and then there's a machine gun sound of it deciding to try and do something. If I turn the knob to open it will go a short way and then machine gun sound. Seems to think it is not closed because will not let the tailgate lid open. Forced to resort to fishing line. I checked and mended all the 7 broken wires in the lid frame to boot frame junction, but still no joy. My local dealer's software won't even talk to the car as it is 'too old'

Wij rijden regelmatig zonder bogen. Hij is nog lekkage vrij. Misschien heeft het ook te maken met hoe vaak je het dak gebruikt. Als je het regelmatig opend blijft het soepel. Blijft wel een fragiele constructie. En heb er er ook al eens aan moeten sleutelen en afstellen.

Het is wel een auto waar je soms iets aan moet doen en repareren. De techniek gaat nog wel even mee. 210000 is nog niet zo heel erg veel. Cabrio rijden is geweldig
