The intent of Soul Glimpses is to be a connection point for the heart through poems, prayers and photos to encourage, support and reaffirm our spiritual selves. Its purpose is to be an open forum for shared insights and glimpses that touch our hearts with the Divine.
Love Yourself | Prayer
One of the hardest things for me is to love myself. And I know that some of you out there feel the same.
So I just wanted to remind all of us that the easiest thing to do is to criticize ourselves, the easiest thing is to listen to all the lies that have poured in on us, the lies we even told ourselves, to draw us away from He who does love us for who we are.
The truth is God does love us, and if God loves us, then why don’t we love ourselves?
Remember the promise of Christ, he upholds us, he intercedes for us and he loves us. So let’s go out there and love ourselves. As we’re able to do that, our love for others grows in magnification.

For the last couple weeks, I’ve been really thinking a lot about love and the part that I play in it, in the part we all play, the part that God gifts us so I decided to write a prayer about it. As you move into this next week, look for the opportunities that you can give love to. Love makes us stronger, makes us brighter lights, and also accomplishes the will of our Father.
