Hi there! Welcome to my first video on RUclips. It has officially been 1 whole year since I moved to Mexico and thought, geez, I should start sharing my life here because I think it's really cool! Also don't mind how sick I sound, its been almost 3 weeks of not feeling super well. Stay tuned for more videos, your feedback and support is really important to me. Also follow me on instagram and ti...
I have been living in Mexico for the last 4 years. Four different cities before I settled in Guadaljara. Best decision I ever made in my life. Wonderful cutlure, wonderful people, great food and INCREDIBLE weather! My budget is around $1,000 U.S. a month. That is food, rent, everything. I still make a little money from my company back home so I am definitely living the life. And one more thing....Don't believe the fear mongering media in America about "Mexican crime." I have seen NOTHING since I have been here. I went to Sand Diego a few months ago for a little trip and I was freaked out in one day! Nothing but drugged out zombies and crazies everywhere. Mexico is paradise:).
any chance you can help me find a similarly priced apartment in your area?
I have been very interested in Visiting Orizaba, VER... I watched your first video and subscribed thinking there would be a lot more... Have you left Mexico? Just curious... I am going back again this Winter... I have been to Mexico many times over the years and have lived 4-6 months at a time... or like last year I split it up 3 months and then later 2 and a half months more.. So yeah it's great. Just looking for the place where I could grow a small garden at least and breath fresh air... that is about it.. I love the Mexican culture.
not bad for your first video.. did i miss where you at in mexico? i wouldn't mind the name of your spanish teacher please. thanks.
Kind of ominous saying you’ve had some safety concerns and then dropping off the internet 😅 hope you’re alright!
Little Mormon girl breaking bad?
Another gringa gentrifying my beautiful country.
I married and never shacked, and had one daughter at age 37. I paid to have my apartment emptied 2 months before I left for Queretaro in 2021 at 79 . Heavily blocked your doors etc, and always have 2 or more weapons on you and around your apartment, YOUR choice. I did not have to sell my stuff, for I did not need the money, and it is deadly. I learned to speak Spanish at age 14 and I was 20, when i first visited Mexico, mainly Acapulco.
Are you still in Mexico? How are things now? Please let us know.
Every week? It's been a YEAR, girl 😂
She sounds like econimist person. In México the 2nd language is ENGLISH.
México is not only = Tijuana or México city
Guadalajara the best modern city in México country!!!!
❤
Make and update video, we never for the safety one either
Viva el barrio

Can you make an update video please?
That good teacher in Guadalajara, who is she please? Asking for a friend.😅
I was born in Guadalajara Mexico gringa go back to Utah lady
What was your sentiment towards Mexico before you considered moving?
everything is frightening especially for someone coming from UT & in the Mormon community where everything is in a bubble!!
Enjoyed the vid but wish you had something about the climate there. I’m from NY and looking to escape these brutal winters.
Nice. There are a lot of thing we can learn about each other. I like that part of american culture, that is industrious. The way factories and companies are established. Mexican values, culture, family. We enjoy life differently in a less material way.
safety video?
Just another Bimbo!
I admire the fact that you are touched by the people risking their lives looking for a new life Blessings and best wishes
Update???😊
😘
Yeah the dollar still kinda goes further in Mexico than here in the USA even with some inflation and rising strength of the peso . Yeah why not live or visit where costs are lower you can go out more etc a beer , soda Milk , meal , gas etc cost you much less.
Living in expatriate enclave is almost certainly much more expensive than what you’re doing living as such. I would do the same thing but would be retiring there if given the chance. Almost 58 yo. Just wishful thinking. Yes being living on fixed income be frugal splurge a lil going out and natural hikes and get aways. Also learning Spanish is easier than English singing because it’s spelled and pronounced one way with the vowels only pronounced one way while English is much more complicated. Yes I’m American Hispanic and know some proper Spanish but with not that great a vocabulary. Not very expansive Oftentimes don’t know the words for this or that. Got a vocabulary of ten year old lol 😂 😅 and the slang or accent of Mexican people can throw me off totally and have lost some of my vocabulary due to me not using it. Might happen to you too if after living in Mexico for years learning Spanish and then coming back to the USA no longer speaking this. No longer practicing speaking it.
She’s very easy on the eyes very beautiful 🤩 ❤
If you move to Mexico, the first thing you have to understand is that you are a migrant, not an expat actually most of you are an Ilegal Alien NOT AN EXPAT
Very informative, keep it up 👍
Gretings from México city
Im basically in the same boat as you just havent made the jump! Would you recommend driving or flying with a luggage also banking how did you handle that? I hope you make more videos! 😊
What would you charge for a 5 page static site w/ some on page SEO?
@werika1 please share the contact info for the Spanish teacher you’ve highly recommended. I enjoyed your video and look forward to watching more.
There is a reason why everybody speaks English.... English is the easiest language in the World.
Hello, I'd like to meet you. My fiance is Mexican as well and we are moving there soon! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Im glad you are not a consumer in america 😅no more Costco and walmart for you
3 months and waiting. 1.95k subscribers from 1 video is great. Looking forward to the next one!
La comida es la mejor: te recomiendo la birria tatemada ❤️❤️❤️
lost all respect when she casually mentions she is a OnlyFans 304
OMG! I can't believe you just packed up and moved! How awesome is that! This is a dream of mine! I am mostly concerned about safety and I have not decided where I'd like to settle. I've been to many different Central American cities in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Belize. It is my favorite place to travel and did I mention it has ALWAYS been a dream of mine? I already work remote as a software developer in the U.S. and am sure I could travel without missing a beat with my employment. The only reason I have not done it already is I have three children, one on collage and two still in high school but I am kinda looking to the day when I have that empty nest and could make a dramatic change like this.
We are looking at similar places, we have been to mexico, el salvador and honduras but as vacations. As a serious scouting trip we explored belize and loved the country but not sure of the safety and economy there long term.
That was funny she said hold on hear comes the train and the train was coming by my place and im like how did she hear it. Like ur video thanks for sharing your experiance. Arriba jalisco
Hey guerita Great name haha, Guerika i love it c:
I've just moved to Mexico as well, was great to get some information from your video! You have a new subscriber :-)
Erika, if you understand everything in small gatherings and hold entire conversations, then you’re doing great! To be able to understand fast language plus loud background noise and the local slang requires years of exposing yourself to that ambient constantly. Give yourself some time and be kind to yourself. Time will come when you’ll feel like a native. Train yourself to THINK in Spanish. I can relate cause when I moved from Cuba to the States I already spoke English but faced the same challenges. Now it’s all good. If I did it you can do it. Go girl!
Ironico como unas personas arriesgan su vida para cruzar a USA y mejorar su vida y otros bajan a Mexico para mejorar su vida
