hey sorry I didn't quite understand how you do the opposite process, citra to 3ds I tried making a backup on checkpoint of the game creating a save but when I open the game after changing the game saves file, into the citra game file nothing changed

USE CHECKPOINT BEFORE DOING THIS METHOD! Citra uses the original encrypted .bin files from your games. CHeckpoint backups will not work and there is no way to decrypt them wihtout a save editor for your specfic game! You can also copy them out to a folder on your SD card using FBI; just do the following: FBI -> Titles -> (game you want to copy the save from) -> Browse Save Data -> (etc.bin) [Multiple save slots for that game? copy all of the bin files] -> <current directory> (press X at the listing above the bin files) -> copy path contents (or it'll say something like that) -> navigate to a folder at the root of your SD like gm9's "out" folder or make a folder for the .bin files. Launch the game you want to use the saves with in Citra, get to a save point in the game so it generates the folder; then open the save location in citra by right clicking on the game you're splicing saves to and paste your saves from your real 3DS/2DS to the folder opened by citra. You can also do this in reverse and copy those saves to your real 3DS/2DS. FBI will act like it won't paste in the files, so just delete the saves to the game in the sequence mentioned above so: Launch FBI -> Folder you put the modified saves after using them with citra -> copy path contents (press X to access) -> Titles -> title you want -> (press X on <current directory>) paste -> Launch your game to see if it works

Tried transferring my Fire Emblem Awakening & Mario Kart 7 saved files from 3DS to 3DS XL, but no matter how many times I tried it didn't work. Does it only work on Pokemon games? Because in my backup saved files I didn't see the sav.DAT file like yours.
