It's all very familiar, but still very different. The new trick system is one to get used to for sure, but I don't think I'll like it.

I’m still half-way through watching your Wild Arms playthrough, but since you plan things pretty far ahead I thought it’d be better to post a few more of game suggestions just in case Silver doesn't work out, or you happen to like something else to play first. At the very least it gives the possibility of making a more long term playlist with some suggestions involved in it. I will post one suggestion per comment due to length, but I do have only a few key ones for now. Microsoft Pandora’s Box (1999) Puzzle Game of the Year Edition, a true artistic masterpiece of an art and puzzle game, only obscure because it was meant to promote system capabilities of Windows 95 machines, yet it came out so late. The dude who made Tetris was specifically hired to design this for Microsoft, the guy who makes music for Mortal Combat made the score for it! Both show in spades! The music is godly, and the whole game breathes out the atmosphere of human achievement on Earth during the brightest era of the outlook towards it. It is a glorious virtual museum of art, but also an insanely good game! Only puzzle game I know of that makes it mechanically impossible for anyone to get stuck, yet maintains a great difficulty! To play it I suggest a full complete playthrough of the story mode. IMPORTANT, this is by clearing all of each city’s locations by re-entering the city after beating its boss. Also, try to not use any hint or help points earned. It will be an easy game for you since you’ve beaten some much harder puzzles on your channel. I have beaten it in this way myself and consider it THE way to enjoy oneself most fully with the game. Game is free now as abandonware, and instructions are easy to find on running it on Windows 10 and 11 (run it in compatibility mode for XP and try to run it windowed for the aspect ratio). I look the most forward to your reactions to such a wonderful game, but also I’m curious as to the story mode, as my installation's codecs died just when I was playing it, thus I have not seen the end cinematic despite beating the game. I hope you’ll find it pleasing.
You got some very deep cuts on your list. I'd like to think I have a pretty broad knowledge of games but you're hitting me squarely in one of my blind spots (that I plan on explaining in the game after Snowboard Kids). I must say that the chances for these games coming up are very low, as I have recently realized that this might be my midlife crisis channel. I put a lot of games I like on my list just to have an excuse to play them again, knowing full well that it will most likely be the last time I will ever play them. Maybe facing my own mortality is just a phase though.
@@LibraryGaiden Hope your determination doesn't waver and you play ALL your games and perhaps some of mine too! Life is still young, believe me on this one.
You’re making a custom trailer for each episode? That’s wild! What’s more, people might not know but that’s how real trailers looked like back then. I still have some on a Squaresoft demo disk. Yours are no lesser then what a major game used to get back then, except they’d get one and you’re making one for each segment! Aren't they seriously too much work? These are great!
It's more of a 'Previously on...' than a trailer, but I've done that before for games I know and like well enough. The Final Fantasies and Chrono Trigger, for example. The latter was definitely too much work with all its variations but that game deserves them! But in general, it's work I only really have to do once. When I have an intro template made, it's just a matter of copy and pasting segments as I see them during editing.
@@LibraryGaiden That reminds me, I should watch you play those games as well. I did beat them fully so I was rushing to watch the new content instead. I do plan to do it eventually.
Hey, this is a game I’m very familiar with, I beat it in a completionist manner back in the day. The reason the intro is so good (probably one of the top 10 of all time) is because it was made by Madhouse studio! As you said, goosebumps. Me, my mom, anyone I ever played that intro to says as much. Was a bit sick lately, and then much busy after that as a result (I hate that combo). I will however catch up with all the watching, I basically did already except for Wild Arms and some early stuff. Will get to it now. All the time while I was unable to comment I still wanted to apologise for jumping to conclusions about the Pokemon stuff. Naturally you had a plan while I thought initially that the next playthrough would be played at once and with little to no change... And then you explained it all away in the next episode and I felt pretty stupid for my speculations. Not that I wanted to bother you about it, but even so putting one’s nose in other people’s business never feels good, let alone when one is in the wrong! I already wrote to you about it then to say I was off the mark, but I have no idea if you saw that at all. Hope this message finds you. Do feel free to tell me off if I was, or am, being too chatty. I just want to try to be properly friendly with people I feel deserve it, but not at the cost of their leisure or comfort that is. Hope all’s well otherwise! Oh and I’d love to watch more Wild Arms games as you mentioned, especially Wild Arms 2, as I haven’t finished that one due to both my Sonys wearing out before I managed to do it.
It's fine, I saw it. I was more concerned about not hearing from you here before, this seemed like your kind of game. My feelings on the game get a bit conflicted, but I've figured it out since!
@@LibraryGaiden Don’t worry. If sometimes you don’t see me comment on a playthrough, It’s because I’m still going through it slowly. I keep a few in a rotation to fit the mood and watch them at different times. Will still go back and comment if I have something constructive to add. Or, for short games or ones I have no sufficient experience to comment on, or perhaps when I have nothing new to add to what you already said, I might just enjoy the whole thing in silence as not to be too spamy and take up your time. As for what you said for your feelings on the game, this game, Wild Arms? I hold neutral stance on the game, but do love the intro as much as you. The game itself seemed above average, but even so not in my top 25. Was there something to make you reconsider playing it? It has been a while, maybe I’m forgetting something. I guess I will find out what you meant as I keep watching. As always thank you for playing!
I don’t want to bug you to do or not do something. I’m just shocked with the possibility, therefore asking the question to prepare myself mentally should the need arise. Not going into spoilers here, but by you saying “there will be another run”, I hope you don’t mean you will play the whole same game from the start again? I know that it would have a different pokemon team, but the prospect of playing or indeed watching a same Pokemon game twice is... Let’s put it this way, I don’t know about you but I’d rather hit myself with a hammer on my shin, twice, than put myself to such a spectacular form of mind-numbing torturous waste of time. I don’t wish to overstate it needlessly so let’s consider. There’s no new dialogue, no missed discoveries, no new gameplay to be had, just a slight reshuffle of moves, types, and the only new thing, the sprites. Now, Infinite Fusion IS a masterpiece when it comes to a Pokemon game, but like some other masterpieces, say Trails in the Sky, once you’ve played the whole game enough to see all the dialogue, there’s very little sanity in repeating it until at least some ten years have passed or so. I am saying this only because your great talent of making any game you play worth the entire watch, thus another game would be blessed with your time and our entertainment rather than a repeat. And I am saying it as someone who watched all of your Genjuu Ryodan episodes within a day or so of release, so I have experience with you making replays great. I just think that this is a different sort of beast. On a different note, I do find your understated episode description immensely entertaining, especially on a second read!
Prepare your shins, that's exactly what I mean. Not right away, but eventually. I even said in the channel announcement that this will be a mainstay series. To me, Pokemon has always been like this. I never sat on a completed file, satisfied with my work. I'd prepare a new team and go again! And I disagree with your example. That may be the case for a normal RPG, but dialogue, and plot in general, is the least interesting part of a Pokemon game to me and all future playthroughs will skip past that entirely. It's all about the challenge, which will ramp up starting with the third run. Plus, it won't really be exactly the same game. I'll say this next episode, but 16 badges is the point I consider the run category complete. The second run will be done in Remix mode and after that, there's the randomizer to play around with. But at the end of the day, you don't have to watch anything you don't want to. I've actually been wondering where your tipping point is, you seemed to enjoy everything but I knew there had to be something. In fact, I did think Genjuu Ryodan was going to be it.
@@LibraryGaiden Sorry I jumped the gun, you’re right. I didn’t know you had a way to raise the challenge and switch the fights around. I should have thought for a moment first, of course you had a well thought out plan. It was stupid of me, sorry. I just got caught by surprise by what happened during this episode. Shows just how invested I was, to react so instinctively instead of thinking it through. Don’t worry, I won’t try to push myself to watch something that I don’t feel great watching. It would be unrealistic to think we play or like everything the same way. However that means that if you hear me watch something, that means I enjoy your cover of it immensely! Infinite Fusion is great, as you said “how would one even go back to normal Pokemon games after”! It was well written too really, I enjoyed every step thus far! I don’t yet know how the future runs will affect me, but my shins are ready! Thank you.
noicee
Magnificent! Thank you for such a good game choice and detailed playthrough. Wanted to ask you while I’m at it. I usually know all of your references and songs, but one has caught my interest that I don’t know of. You say it somewhat like this: “everyone’s here, the colors weave into a spiral flame”. You said it during the stage prior to Skull Kaiser in the first go-around of Genju Ryodan and during the 7th episode of Dark Half at 8:33, which I’m watching now to catch up. It sounds awesome, like something I’d want to watch or read. Would you tell me what it is? Also while we’re here, who’s Holfnerg?
"Colors weave into a spire of flame" is the first line of the opening song of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The first major trailer that revealed that every character from the previous games was going to be in this one had this moment where it says "Everyone is here!". It was a really cool moment, so I can't say the first without going into the latter. And Holfnurg is what I named the rival in Infinite Fusion. I was unprepared and just kinda put letters together into something pronounceable. Barely pronounceable. The best kind of pronounceable.
@@LibraryGaiden Oh so that’s how it went. I did watch all of your Infinite Fusion thus far. It’s just that I thought since you named the protagonist Archer you might have named the rival from something like Star Track where Archer was a protagonist. But I couldn’t remember which random alien rival was called Holfnurg. You got me good with that one.
It hurts my brain to watch. But I can't look away
This is so beautiful, top choice. It makes all the difference that you hit the audio balance just right! Several playthroughs others did on it had the background too low, which surprisingly destroys the feeling of this game. Now for my 1st game suggestion! Silver (1999) for PC. It is one of the most charming games ever made, and certainly one of the most unheard of ones today. It has pre-rendered backgrounds similar to FFVII, so mind the screen aspect ratio. I played it half way through at the time and can guarantee its quality for you. Don’t worry about the unique controls, the game is very forgiving so as to be more accessible.
Glad it works! Audio balancing is kind of a crapshoot to me because I can't control how people listen to these videos. Just comparing what I hear from my headphones and my speakers makes a world of difference, so I'm really just winging it. >.> And you immediately hit me where it hurts. I'm so paranoid when it comes to old PC games on modern PCs! I reached a point on my previous PC where every moderately old game would not just crash but fully lock up the entire thing, which is already bad, but in this case means I would constantly risk losing an entire recording. I have an old game on my list that I'm willing to try just because it's one of my all-time favorite games. That's my test to see how this current PC behaves. I might look into Silver if that test is successful.
@@LibraryGaiden Here’s hoping it all goes well since half of my suggestions will be old PC games! I’m glad you will try, as they really are great experiences I would be sorry if you had to miss out on. Silver however will pose you no problem, as apparently GOG re-released it recently if I heard correctly.
Another game in the middle of Infinite Fusion? Cool stuff! I’m a little late with preparing my suggestions list, aren't I? That brings a question. Where do you want me to post them? I could do so in the comments, but there’s a danger of them disappearing, plus I could not post more about the history and requirements of each game, nor any links especially. Sorry for not writing in a while. The work has been ridiculous for me lately, however I still did watch everything as it came out. I’m even catching up with things from way back before, just had no time to log in properly is all.
For what it's worth, I actually prefer not knowing too much about a game. I'd rather look into a title myself so I can stop when I've seen enough. As to where to post them, there really isn't a place where it wouldn't feel off-topic, but it's not like I get that many comments anyway, so it really doesn't matter. For pacing's sake, I would suggest matching mine, meaning one game on the final episode of any series. But I have to add that I have quite a big list of potential games already, including my Pile of Shame on Steam that I'd like to tackle eventually. So if I don't seem receptive of suggestions, it's really not personal! I might also be slow to respond in general over here. I only use this account every few days and that's something I hadn't even considered until now.
@@LibraryGaiden Understandable, there’s always lots to think about. I’ll follow along with what you said. See you in the next comment.
Nice ✅

Surprisingly given great selection over the years, this Wario voicing of yours is my favourite thus far! I have no pre-knowledge of Wario, so this is my first impression, but I love that “greed is a passion too” positive air you give him! On a related note, a Game Boy game that has a more fun gameplay, mechanics, characters, exploration, and more cool stuff to do than an average game of today. I really wonder sometimes...
This was the first GB game I played, it's really fun
