Do you know which Mersey this is ?
ON 1171
Lifeboat or free ferry service?
This isn't the type of comment i would have expected from a channel containing children's tennis videos based out in the far east! You haven't uploaded any content in years, what happened to you?
@@charlieb3885 Life!😅
thanks Buz for a brilliant week the parade on board was an added bonus bougs
Best sounding Tyne ever
😍
Great video. I love it. I've been yesterday there and sailed my City of Sheffield alongside the Annie Blaker. When both boats switch their engines on was a great moment.
Did you get some video of your model sailing alongside the full size Tyne? I have a feeling i was standing near to you during the parade of sail!
@@charlieb3885 Yes got some videos and will put it on RUclips when I'm back home. I had the same feeling but did not know to get in contact.
Handles the waves well, as it should
In its element
Awesome launching event!
What a coxswain !
I wouldn't want to be standing on the back of that boat if the winch line snapped.
This actual Life Boat is now retired from service and is now a floating museum piece somewhere in Norfolk
Where are they going 😂
Interesting to watch the recovery operation.
Very cool, wondering how to bring her back in ? Mmmm
You can see how she is recovered in some other videos i uploaded this week
how is this done in anything but a flat calm?
Different location, but this is how ruclips.net/video/M6CjcbYs4vY/видео.htmlsi=v4dKvP8cCSEnSf6C
The RNLI is entirely a charity staffed by volunteer citizens based in costal communities. Their employers give them release immediately if they get a shout, they hop in their car and tear through town to the boat. The whole town hears the hooter, the volunteers are known by everyone, so the population and the police just get the hell out of their way. It's impressive to see 20 cars screech into the parking lot like an F1 pitstop, the occupants run in, pile onto the boat and tear off to rescue someone. Within these communities becoming an RNLI lifeboat person is seen as a heroic honour. They do nothing but save lives.
Brutal Detroit diesel hourse power, animal of a boat,
When we were kids we use to go into the old boathouse and stand in awe of the Lifeboat, Philip and Dorothy Constant i believe, but could never catch it launching. That's when you could hear maroons going up, to tell the crew that they were needed. Great memories. Love to know what happened to the old girl, broken up no doubt.
Looks great 👍
Why is there no radio contact between the boat skipper and the tractor driver?
They communicate using hand signals
There must be a better way to recover the boat inside
💞Wow💚💚💚💗💚💚💚
How does this work when it's rolling 10-15 foot waves?
The lifeboat house and slipway are located in the shelter of a harbour, so conditions are very unlikely to get that bad. But if they did, they would find a safe place to moor up, and wait until conditions had improved enough for re-housing
☺️😉👍👍👍
Must be an exercise. Too much hesitancy for actual rescue. These men and women risk their lives every day, so need to get it right for all concerned..
practical machine
My favourite place in the town where i lived from 1995 until 2021
Cooll!!! I'm 2nd to like
For real though, this channel needs way more subs an likes you've been posting for like 13 or sum years i forgot but i checked yesterday, u need more subs an likes:) have a nice day and or night!
Thanks you, much appreciated. I hope to continue uploading onto my channel for a long time to come
Where was this!?
Between St Leonards and Crowhurst
@@charlieb3885 looked a amazing spot what a capture well done :)
Nice video Charlie :)
Nice launch! But the transom sits very low in the water! With a full load of people, the boat might be swamped!!
They can actually carry up to 79 casualties!
With respect, this seems a painfully slow launch, thinking of the rescuee at the other end? Even if it was only an exercise, it takes far too long. Surely the RNLI must have to reconsider beach launchings in favour of sites with a direct ramp to the sea?
Which will be even farther away, lengthening the time needed to reach the casualty
In a real emergency they will launch immediately, this was an exercise so running the diesel and warming her up and checking everything on a drill evening looks like what they were doing...
In regards to a ramp, many of the English coastline spots are flat beaches with no areas for an adequately angled ramp. Equipment is designed for use in the areas.
Returning to the beach at the end of the morning's exercise
Great video! Quick question....do you still have the USCG 47' Motor Lifeboat?
Yes I do!
@charlieb3885 I'm a prior RNLI member but also a USCG surfman. Would you be available for a chat?
Sure
Nice
"You can't park there !" 🤣🤣🤣Great job guys, love the Shannon class boats.
One for Jim xx
... Superb ... 😐
Very wise not getting the Bobcat wet. You only need a wave splash over the wading depth and the thing will be immobilised, soon to be submerged when the tide comes in!
Amazing videos!
Were these all at the Littlestone Lifeboat day?
Where is this?
Pett Level is located midway between Hastings and Rye, on the Sussex Coast
what time did they go in the water because i was there yesterday and didnt see them in the water.
They launched at around 09:30 and returned around 12
Great video , have you any plans etc ,I have one to complete for someone
Ebay often has plans. You can also ask the RNLI and they can send you plans on a PDF
Dam good!! Try that on a bitter cold January morning at 2:30am!! Were still dam good!! Sail safe!
Big shout for the launch vehicle crew and shore crew 👏 Proud to be a RNLI Shoreline Member.
One of the crew helped me almost 35 years ago and would accept nothing in return, it was land based, never forgotten, in more recent times they have taken some shit over the immigrant boats but they are more human than most of us and deserve total respect.
Hope all went well!
Haha!!!
