@@AntColonyOfficial I don’t know those kind of ants so can u explain them to me?
@@thomaswade7052 that’s the reason I got sugar ants
@@avocado_alien they are really small, fast and native to the southern u.s., at leas the species i have dorymrymex bureni are. they also have small colonies usually
"here they are trying some honey" (worker absolutely choking on the stick)
Hey one question when my order gets to my house to i get an email?
Hi, you will get an email when dispatched, however not sure if an email will come once delivered.
@ ok thanks
Pavement ants are tetramorium Yours look like Lasius maybe you call them pavement ants where you live anyway good video I would rather have pavement ants than trap jaws ..
Irodyrmyrmex
Amazing 😂🐜
You rich
To be honest I have kept ants for 12 years and just caught queens myself, if the queen is rare then good luck. Treating ants like products is kind of the result of a market that illegally or a-legally traffics with animals including most dug out ponerines like H. venator. The money is a product of how the market works but Odontomachus in my opinion are valued $300 by the people who don’t live among them, in countries where they exist they’re as common and as “uncool” as your average ant so it’s all a matter of location and point of view. I personally consider my native species as interesting as any large expensive exotic, and they’re completely free
Trap jaw ants are also a lot more difficult to raise. I personally had two queens with workers and they still didn't make it. While black ant colonies are very durable and easy to keep. Plus they don't bite or sting. While strap jaw ants possess a painful sting and bite and are also very fussy when eaters. Trap jaw Colonies take a very long time to develop like myrmecia.
I would love to get my hands on this species of ant, unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere in the last place in Iceland, I love my country, but as an ant enthusiast I suffer here, I have to import all species (extreme bureaucracy that is associated with a lot of costs) if only I had stayed in Germany, everything is so much easier there... 🤔
OWO😊
Love your channel. Can I ask, how do Green ants fare against red imported fire ants? Are they able to defend themselves or kill fire ants?
What species is this?
Myrmecia Pyriformis
Nice Footage
Nice video, you mentioned they flew in September so does that mean this years nuptial flight already happened?
Yes, that's right. They have already flown.
Hey I LOVE buying from your website

Wow ,i never knew .
😮
Just curious, what happened to your green tree ant nest? I forgot it’s real name but I swear you had some in stock. What happened to them?

@@AntasticAnts hello. Are these for sale?
Cool video, sorry if i talked to you badly in the dms before❤
All good!
Hi Can I purchase these, please?
Are these ants for sale?
@@joep2431 you desperately want thses lol
@@AntasticAnts are these ants for sale? Can I purchase them?
hi, I'm not an ant expert by any means which is why I'm asking, but don't ants generally avoid having nests in lit up places? How come these ones don't mind?
They actually do have a large red custom made cover that I forgot to film. They do prefer darker places, but meat ants in particular tend to thrive regardless of their environment. But, yes they do have a red cover they are kept under.
@@AntasticAnts oh okay, thank you for your response
I love this colony, it is so cool. ❤
People who bought ants from Antastic
Goodness what an army
How do you catch that many any queens and I know that red important fire ant, that type of ant can create super colonies
How did you find the queen out in the open?
They are caught during their nuptial flight, before they go underground to build their nests.
Wow u sound like Lazarbeam😂
Hi,i have just started ants keeping i bought a nest any tips?
Hi, email us and tell us what sort of ant you have
Hi you remember me , i wanted to exchange a giftcard from you which i won from piss ants , you have a great channel loved it , btw can we do a collaboration ❤
sounds great
most ant claustral queens cant sting such as fire ant queens because they dont need to hunt that being said since you do have proof in the video because i did see a fire ant stinger protrude i am relatively certain that she was able to sting which is very odd ass most claustral queens lack prominent defensive capabilities
Hi antastics one question , do you do deliver on weekends?
Yes we do
Earned yourself a sub my guy. Keep the great work!🎉
yeah your first and im second
im 4 weeks ago

Haha I love it, the ant community in RUclips is like the young RUclips we used to know.
How does this video not have any comments? Anyways, sick video dude! I think that extra protein you gave your queen in the beginning really helped them thrive and have protein packed nantics. Really cool video dude!
Every day I look for bugs in the nearby forest and there is a Fire Ant network underground.
