Work Hard and play HARDER. Hoping to get the Silverado EV one day, but in the meantime, I use my very similar (and beloved) Chevy avalanche And my tools and equipment to run a small contracting and Window Cleaning business. Previously, I also did lawn care, but now my focus has changed. But we also use the truck and Equipmeng for Camping and adventures! Not to mention for moving and for everything! Hoping one day to own the Chevy Silverado, EV in the meantime, let me show you some of the advantages of both trucks since they are so similar! If you have questions, please let me know, or include them in the comments on the videos. I research relentlessly, and because I have a truck that inspired the Silverado EV I can demonstrate quite a bit.

@@Mck499 do you mean leak into the cab? Usually not there’s multiple gutter systems so if any water does make it through the panels it’s immediately channeled away from the vehicle. Maybe I should make a video demonstrating that.
@ThunderandLightningEvPickup okay, yeah that's what I meant sorry for bad wording. I was thinking of getting a avalanche to use as a trail/camper rig. Thank you
The battery’s will cost more than the truck is worth
Unlikely but even if so it’s Not my problem. I have a warranty till 2032 and I will sell it before it runs out.
Thank you for your comment Bill. It’s great to discuss these things. Any other comments or questions? Also if you have any proof or data of things please pass along! It would definitely be helpful!

Already depreciated 15k in two minutes and the transmission replacement will only be 8500, start saving now
@@eriknelson45 I appreciate your comment. But I’m no fool. First of this truck does not have a transmission. I got this truck almost brand new for around 35 grand. Bought it from a southern dealer in an area where EV’s are not very popular. And I had it shipped to upstate New York. Up here with higher mileage and with less features (without Max to package and all the additional work related stuff) they sell for over 45 grand with mid 40 K mileage. So no it absolutely did not depreciate and no, I will not have to deal with any mechanical issues of any kind. In addition to that, I have a warranty that came with the truck without me having to pay for it that last until 2032 or 100,000 miles. There’s three additional warranties that also came with it that protect every pricey component, And everything else with the exception of wear and tear items.
Light work....
Perfect for me and for my business I hope you have a vehicle is perfect for you and your circumstances.
Hi again brother, I just posted a comment on one of your other videos. Just two questions about the huge rectangular mirror. 1 Why not cleaning the frame before the mirror itself. If you clean the frame after, don't you raise dust or cobwebs from the frame that may end up on the glass? 2 Again, with the overlap horizontal passes with the squeegee, are you sure it won't leave streaks/marks? Seems you have mastered the horizontal passes in such a way that no streaks are left, but most people avoid that way of working because the contrary happens, they will leave overlap streaks! Sorry for being such a persnickety pain in the neck 😅. Greetings from Spain.
Not at all thank you for the question! If the frame is really dirty and or they want the frame cleaned you can clean it first. That gives for windows too. But in this case the only thing that’s being cleaned is the glass. It’s going to drip down below no matter what so you would have to wipe the bottom of the frame either way.
Good video brother. Let me ask you, on each horizontal pass you make with the squeegee don't you leave a streak? I mean, when not using the S or snaking technique, if you use parallel horizontal passes, shouldn't you rinse/dry the top part of the squeegee to avoid streaks? I can see that you do not leave streaks on the video, but if I did it like you show, I worry I would leave marks.

Those batteries are about 400 a piece. I have ego products. Maybe im asking to much but I figured 24hrs would be impressive.
I agree. They are expensive and there are much better products from eco flow you could use . But if you have a whole bunch of ego batteries from the zero turns, mowers, blowers weed whackers it can be useful. But the machine is a little pricey. Find it online FB or eBay, Craigslist for cheap and then it’s a better decision. But if you don’t have these batteries don’t go this route!
Ego needs to work on the chute on the mower, really noisy.
Totally agree. They are working on a commercial line. Maybe they’ll have this stuff worked out out there. It’s just all that I could afford, and I was kind of testing it out to see if it could work. It did, but it certainly not ideal for a whole lot of commercial work.
What are the cabin dimensions? LxWxH
Internal dimensions are approximately 6 1/2’ x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. To be honest a little too small I’m just under 6 foot so I’m able to sleep in there, but if you’re claustrophobic, it would be a bit challenging and also it’s too small to change your clothes and comfortably. But it keeps you dry and warm and it’s more about adventure.
This is silly. You could’ve built a power station for half the price with 3x the capacity
Sort of true. I have both. But I have tons of batteries 🔋 since I also have mowers blowers, weed wackers and all the rest. I got this unit used and it came with 4 7.5ah batteries for the price of two. So it was actually free. But I agreed they have a loooong way to go before this thing is as useful as my eco flow battery and solar systems.
The rattling noises sound like war
Agreed.
My power is 35c a kWh in Connecticut
Wow that’s high!!! You need solar or something.
Can it run a fridge? Deep freezer? It be good to swap between gas/propane/battery or have them do split duty, not all your stuff on one generator
Absolutely I can. Easily. Probably two-3 days if you don’t open the fridge.
also I would say if you wanted to extended it charge the batteries of the generator during the day and run it after dark (so you neighbors don’t kill ya because of the noise)
Any isues with the ticking sounds from the lifters and any issues with transmission ?
Ive had a 2005 AvY for about 6 years now that Im going to be doing some engine and transmission work on . I have alrady done tons of work to it and can't justify a new truck . Love this content!
Awesome man what content would you like to see? And you use it for personal adventures or for work?
Also, I have two avalanches right now. One is an older one and I’m looking to sell it. It’s also a 2005 and it comes with a plow.

Hello my friend I’m very sorry, but I won’t be able to do that unfortunately. Reason being I sold the camper several years ago. At the time there wasn’t as much interest in the camper so I didn’t put in the extra work to make a bunch of well made videos for it and I’m not a professional RUclipsr.

If only you could run the AC it would be perfect. Unfortunately, you can't. Some of the hybrid vehicles will maintain a temperature for you, running off battery and only turning on when they have to.

So what I'm guessing is the Chevy avalanche isn't coming back with new engines because I've been waiting for awhile for them to bring back the Chevy avalanche
Unfortunately, probably not. I mean the new Silverado is basically a Chevy avalanche but it’s electric and it’s super expensive.
My husband bought an ‘02 fully equipped 2500 4wd Avalanche with 198,000 for $5,000 last week. He is really happy with it and we just discovered yesterday that it has heated seats! It’s good to know that it can be used for camping in an emergency as we have a motorhome and a converted van so I don’t think he would want to rough it that much (he’s 75 years old). Thank you for sharing your ideas!
Ma’am, you have my dream Chevy avalanche I have two and I use one for plowing and dirty work, and one for my business/camping. If you ever decide to sell the 2500 please reach out. But I’m so happy for you guys! If you have any questions questions, please feel free to reach out and make sure you use that Midgate function.
@@ThunderandLightningEvPickup He is very happy with his truck. He used to restore classic cars as his trade and was in the Body and Fender field for over 30 years BUT he just doesn’t have the stamina to continue doing that because of his age so this one will not require so much attention. I don’t like the sound of it as it sounds like it has flow-master on it but he loves that sound, lol! We saw that there is a tent that can be put on the back but we are just not that agile to climb in and out so the motorhome for us!
@@cocacolafiestaunderstandable. I would love a hard sided a-frame camper trailer but it’s not in the budget at the moment so we continue to just enjoy the AVEY. I call it a transformer as I use to for some many things and it can change and adapt to everything.
There is no way that is going to run for ten hours. That "10 hrs" based on the fan on and not the compressor. If the AC is pulling 400w an hour you would need a 4kwh battery - each one of those nexxus batterys are less than 500wh each.
Your math is correct. But guess what most of the time you’re compressor is not on for for all 10 hours. If it is, it’s either because you’re trying to cool down too big of a space you lack good insulation or it’s very very hot outside. This was not a worst case scenario. Other videos I kind of give more of the surrounding conditions.
Call Stewart just an experiment it’s not exactly practical however, if you want to charge up whatever power station you have overnight when the cost of electricity is 1/10 and then use it during the afternoon/ evening when the cost of electricity is much higher it’s not a bad way to save a little bit of money.
You are not really saving any money because you are not factoring in the price of that over priced power station. It uses NMC batterys that at best have around 800 cycles to 80%. You would be better of with a power station that has LIFEPO4 batterys that has 3000 cycles to 80%.A real solar Power station could be recharged with a considerable amount of solar (free recharging) unlike the EGO max's out around 150w. Power tool batterys will never pay for themselves in a solar/recharging environment.you will just burn threw those batterys quick. The price of a 100ah lifepo4 is at a all-time low, tool battery company's are basically over charhing us all regardless of platform
It would be so cool if you added a shot of the sun or a bare light bulb with this bas azz camper video
That’s looks perfect man. I thinking about getting one.
If you or anyone has any questions about it, please let me know. I now have two Chevy avalanches… I just bought another one for three grand.
That's a nice setup bro! Goes to show that people don't need to spend $5,000 to have all the amenities; we just need to be a little creative, like you. 👍
Thanks, man that means a lot. We’re teaching each other out here. If any of you know anyone else Who is doing clever things like this or trying to learn or maybe they simply want to Chevy avalanche community tell them about about this channel
I've had two Avalanches, my first one was a brand new 2008 LT 4x4. I sold it 3 years later. I regretted that so much . In 2014, I bought my second one, a 2008 LTZ 4x4 and have it ever since. I will never get rid of it. They are so utilitarian, easy and cheap to repair. Here in Cali everybody is paying 5.65 for gas on avg. I pay 3.25 for E85. Although there is a 20% fuel burn efficiency deficit. I'm still winning. GM knocked it out the park with this SUT.
I couldn’t agree more! I actually just bought another one 2005 that came with a plow. (We live in New York State and I work myself). I do like using E85. Here the price delta isn’t as much ( here it costs 2.60. But gas is 340) And only one station has it. So when I’m near I get it. And it runs great on it. When we go to cali we rent electric cars.
Recently bought a 2008 LT with about 145k miles and it too is a Flex Fuel model!! Here in So-Cal when gas can be anywhere from 4 bucks to 6 bucks a gallon!! I am only paying around 3 bucks!!!
What e85 ? I own an 07 avalanche and i use regular 😂
@@nilsonc93 what exactly is your question?
What's e85 is that gasoline or diesel ?
Nice walk-around. Did you say you were camping in Maine? Where did you stay? I'm in Maine and also have a 08 Z71 Avalanche with a Rtt. It would be cool to connect if you come up again.
Why does the ego make all that rumbling noise? Sounds like the deck rumbles.
All ride-ons make that noise but you can hear it on the ego since there isn't a petrol motor drowning the sound out.
@CaseyGibson Not true. In researching Greenworks and ryobi do not. I ended up getting the ryobi 80V zero turn. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Zero deck rattle and rides like a car.
@@Goforit2nite Do you prefer it over the EGO zero turn? Ty,
@@russell311000 I prefer the Ryobi with the joystick. Much sturdier deck. I chose that and love it.

Hey do you have the links to those rear window shades
Here in Texas 115 is the norm
How long did you need to charge the generator
Def excited to see ur build I am in planning stages of mine
I'm looking to purchase an inflatable mattress for my 07 Avalanche. What size should I go with (Queen or Full)? How many inches in height for the mattress is ideal (10in, 15in, 20in)? Thanks!
We use a full size blowup mattress that I believe is actually closer to 8 inches because your head is going to be in the cabin and for us basically from our hips up is inside the cabin you don’t really need to worry about the space where your feet are., but underneath there is 3 inches of foam. We have tried putting the foam on top of the mattress, but because the foam that we have is smaller, it didn’t work very well but it did help to flatten out the area underneath the mattress so that it’s a bit more comfortable for our backs And bodies.
Ive done the same! tho not as sophisticated haha
Awe’s some! What’s your setup. I learn from everyone else.
