First... the video was great. I enjoyed it. Secondly, this remake was so ahead of its time that it only just recently began to feel dated... At least that seems to be the concensus. But with all due resepect, I dont think this game lost to time. I think you lost to the controls. As some one who grew up with tank controls, its 2nd nature to me and make this game function the best. Seems a lot of peoples biggest gripes with the OGs are controls and having no patience to learn. Not saying that's you, but it just sucks seeing what i feel is an absolute masterpiece being ranked lower simply due to something that is in the hands of the player and not necessarily a flaw. But thats just my admittedly biased opinion. Still loved the video.

You should absolutely play through the OG trilogy (plus OG RE4 if you haven't). Though for RE2, play through it as Claire A Leon B as it's not only canon to the original continuity, but also the better story. also, for RE3 pick "Hard mode", it only gives you two options being Hard and Easy but trust me, it's accurate to say it's more like Normal and BABY modes (Because easy showers you in weapons and ammunition at the start of the game, and enemies drop like flies). either way I adore classic RE so much, and even though I prefer the remakes of RE2 and RE4, they're originals still have many things the remakes don't, and i want more of the modern RE fans to get into them. nevertheless, enjoy the wonderfully bizarre and creepy series! edit: also, you didnt play with tank controls for RE1 remake, those are the alternate controls

As someone who played it fully a month ago. Yes it does. Graphically...however it would be interesting to see it in the new re engine with the same love given to re2remake.

The biggest issue is the map , they just need to mark which doors need which key so it's better to keep track and navigate. The mansion has way too many doors and it's hard to keep track .

It does, I go back to these games for the full experience, the Re-imagined of 2, 3 and 4 while have modern controls, all are sort of soulless and lacking the fun of the original.
