You both need a bloody lesson in riding, KEEP TO THE LEFT! Old mate that hit the calf is an idiot to say the least, drop your speed and ride with caution when animals are around the roads, very unpredictable as he found out.

No sympathy. This is why cockys are locking gates. This is the third video I've seen recently of riders cutting blind corners. One was a head on and the other clipped each other. Stay on your own side of the road and slow down.

Great video Mark. Hope the calf was unhurt. The cocky was a good man.

The most dangerous livestock are the young ones, and those that not habituated to traffic. You get a bit of a sense for habituated cattle. If they are skittish; are already moving around from the sound of you coming; then look out. Anything could happen. But cattle on well trafficked unfenced roads seem not to care too much.

Watching both of you riding around blind corners on the wrong side, that's scary.

Yep I couldn't agree more. He was just as concerned for the boys weldare as he was the cattle.

Nice video mate well done. I too have just started riding an adventure bike. I've only done a couple of short rides atm but that will change soon enough. I want to get it protected with crash bars and a decent bash plate before I get to adventurous.

Lesson 101; herding animals will do ANYTHING to join the herd when they feel threatened. Slow down; you can't be too cautious around herding animals. (Being courteous towards land owners goes a looooong way as well).

totally agree with you.....never pre-empt what an animal might do....I agree with the saying "There are old riders (like me) and there are Bold riders, but there are no Old Bold Riders " The Farmer was very helpful and extended his hand to the young fella even though he collected one of his poddy calfs. Good thing was the calf was unharmed thankfully.

Bloody hell, old mate needs to learn a thing or 2. Respect farmland and ride appropriately lucky that stockman was good about it. You hit a calf like that up north it will get you shot. Lucky he didnt kill him self

Yeah, the cocky was exceptionally good about it and correct in telling them to slow down. There's a few videos out showing riders racing along Rocky River Rd. They'll close it if you clowns don't slow down.
