Man that is totally unreal to hear they are only a half step down on all their albums. I never tried to play any of their stuff. Have to respect Deicide and even moreso with that info.

They look funny onstage. Looks very thrown together to play some big festivals. And when are they ever going to record new music that is black metal again? Never is my guess, This is my opinion!! I haven't heard a fast Satyricon since the mid 90's.

Is it released yet? Its going to be thrash album of the year.

Maybe thats the problem with modern Metal, most of it sounds the same, copying instead of finding your one niche.

Frankie Bello is a monster bass player and he fits into the Satyricon setup well. That song is Repined Nation Bastard. Anthrax's last couple of records have been fucking killer too.

Great video bro and Bello fits the bill, not sure if he'd have the credibility for Blasphemy or Archgoat but Satyricon is more at the poser or commercial spectrum of black metal.

Dude... Slayer broke me today. There's really nothing like them. I've been listening in awe all day. I'm gonna slap together my "Sloer" cover of this song asap. Particularly go listen to South & War, those songs have some extra magic. I can barely hold my peaceful ass together listening to this band. Eloy once said in an interview that when he is asked to play on someone's drums, he asks if they are sure about it, because he is certain to break something. Now I ask you: what would you do, would you have the honor of seeing Eloy play on your drums and lose a few thousand dollars or not? LOL

I want to start this comment by saying don't get me wrong I am the most loyal ferocious metal head out there. I go back To the paranoid record by Black Sabbath. I love the Hard rock of the late 60s and 70s the hair metal and heavy metal of the 80s and the thrash metal and speed metal of the 80s the death metal of the 90s, and the melodic death metal and still listen to and cherish all of that to this day. What I guess I don't really get and never really understood was all this anti-christian and anti Christianity death metal. Without getting completely religious or spiritual on anyone and that is up to each individual to believe what they believe there just seems to me to be enough other stuff to sing about and still play blast beats, double bass, shredding guitar, and bass lines. It's bad enough for other bands who are satanic and really do endorse that stuff but these guys are not even true satanists which makes it in my opinion much worse.

Why would you take an amazing vocalist like Mark Osegueda and make him into an Araya clone? F*cking dumb as hell. I think if King had let him be himself, this music would have had less of a stock sound to it. And Bostaph is nerfed so much here it's ridiculous. Kerry King was always a sh*t lead guitarist and that hasn't changed here. He's a much better rhythm guitarist. This is meh at best.

I honestly don't care for this. It's run of the mill sh*t. And it's a f*cking shame that King has one of the BEST Thrash Metal vocalists of all time trying to sound like Tom Araya.

I LOVE the new album. Has a Thrashy Death feel to it which is a bit new for Deicide. I love that they're paying more attention to song structures now and it's not just typical brutal Death Metal. There's actually a bit more melody musically, most notably the largest improvement being the guitar solos. The solos are magnificent and this album is amazing. The album starts off right away with a VERY Thrash Metal type riff. And I still love the production, no matter how sterile people think it is. The guitar playing is miles ahead of most of the previous albums. Taylor Nordberg and Kevin Quirion are f*cking incredible. And Glen's vocals are strong as ever. Asheim is still as insane as ever. The man is a machine. Overall, one of my favorite Death Metal albums of the year. Great review.

I'm not into modern sound. You know I love Megadeth rust in Peace but I hate the sound. I like the 3 first albums because of the haunting sound. I wish rest in peace have the sound of the first three albums but the songwriting is so great it doesn't matter. As long as the songwriting does something I like the new dog s*** modern sound will be annoying but I will go on it

I´d give it a 3/5. Its decent but nothing special. The overproduced production further ruins it for me. Not something to write home about

E flat, D standard, is it that big of a difference? As long as the songs are good, I don't care about a certain tuning regulation, if that's what it is. Lots of bands have different tunings. Anyway... I think they are great and they have never had a "Black" album. My hat is off to Glen and his dark forces!

Ive been disappointed with just about every Deicide album after Legion. It always seemed like every album they were missing one ingredient from the original formula. I have kept tabs on every release hoping they would make a return to greatness....as the first two albums are legendary. I will say this album is the closest they've came in my eyes.
