A lot of your shots and blade attacks did no damage because you need to get above the boss and make sure your shots go inside the thing on its back. You were attacking the outside of it. The VPMs were a good choice I think. The vertical launch would have the shots land inside. The blade you should save for when you are going to make a guaranteed hit that will lead to stagger, or once you’ve staggered it from the top, go in front to the other weak spot and use the blade to attack it’s “mouth” Other than that, just energy conservation and making sure you don’t get caught out close to it with an empty energy gauge. You’ve got a nice mix up of weapons, it’s a good load out to deal with a variety of situations 💯

All you need is that frame, swap out the core with the lamm, dual etsujins, Huxley, and the laser(dumb ones) drones. The acs strain is extremely fast and the laser drones perpetually punish.

The great thing about Balteus is that it forces you to relearn the game. Most enemies have been easy up until this point, now you need to learn mechanics that will allow you to survive AC6 Shield disruption, stagger mechanics, ammo conservation to take advantage of the stagger, spacing. For your assault boosting, keep an eye on the meter reading at the bottom of the targeting reticule. Once you are within 250 - 300m, it’s a good assault boost distance if you want that blade to land and still have enough boost for a back dash. Also, using the target assist might help as well. If you can unlock the kick, you’ll have another option for doing damage during the stagger. Weapons choices are just whatever you are comfortable with, but I think the shield is a bit redundant for now. Then you can focus on getting good at evasion rather than being prepared to take a hit. It helps to think “I want to hit them without taking hits”. Then you’ll find different ways to approach the situations. Like at the beginning of the balteus mission, you could have gone around the outside, scanned through the buildings, and popped your vertical missiles on the turrets. You would have destroyed them and they wouldn’t event have seen you. Stealthy is healthy!

Quircks about the pulse blade or most of the melee weapons in the game you can immediately "cancel" your attack after doing it by using a quick boost as long as you have the EN for it, another thing is "melee cancel" where in upon doing a foraward lounge you can still cancel this action for another melee lounge, this is harder to do if your attack chain is only 1 so practice in the test area Plasma weapons arent bad but the "side grade" is better but can only be picked up mid game its true usecase only shines if you have a "ball of enemy"

Bro honestly sick build - looks like fun. Just get rid of the Shield maybe and youre golden. You need some way of dishing out damage in a more consistent and direct way. Otherwise the game will propably feel tedious. The Stagger Bar rewards constant damage output and making use of that is gonna feel a million times better.

Allow me to be of assistance to you for this game: 1. Your build is pretty good, but your right-arm weapon is much too slow to be used as the only gun unless both of your shoulder-weapons fire some kind of missile. I recommend the Ranjetsu (the one that looks like a big AK-47) instead. Even better if you dual-wield them! 2. I encourage you to experiment with lightweight builds because of their movement speed and dodging. This way you can easily avoid enemy fire because you're fast enough to dodge it. 3. That melee weapon in your hand is VERY good, but on bosses/sub-bosses, you should exclusively use it AFTER you've broken their stamina because it will do exponentially more damage to them in that state. Also, only use it when you're 100m from the target or closer. EDIT: I saw that once you fought Balteus, you did exactly this. 4. Speaking of distance, when you use the R3 hard-lock, you don't need to touch the right stick very much at all afterwards. When you do, it breaks the hard-lock and renders you unable to see what your enemy is doing. That happened to you several times in the video. 5. If you haven't already done so, please be sure to do all the tutorials and Arena battles so that you can purchase the perks. There is one specific perk - the shoulder/arm weapon switch - that is the very first ability that you should equip because you can switch between firing guns in both hands and then switching to a melee weapon on your left hand when you're ready for the kill. Watching you play reminds me of where I was when I was first learning the game. Just keep playing, keep experimenting with different builds and weapons and you'll get the hang of this game. Before long, you'll be easily S-ranking the same missions in this video without barely using the first health pack. I have a few videos on my channel of me playing AC6 as a very first-time AC player if you want to see what I mean. Keep playing Armored Core 6 - it's an amazing game, especially once you've figured it out!
