My considerations: - amazing, amazing and amazing... - everything's spot on, the engine, suspensions, brakes, handling... - can't think of any cons, only pros. 13.500€, can't go wrong, perfect package!!!

My considerations: - engine is smooth and responsive at low revs but buzzy at mid\high revs. It's a mono so no miracles. - tall gear ratio, good for reaching higher speeds but aceleration is pretty good for a 400cc - very light and nimble but also stable - suspension is very hard, not confortable, you feel every imperfetion of the road. - front brake lacks power and is very spongy, is the weake...

Very balanced at low speeds, feels very light, it's hard to believe it's 234kgs. The engine is very easy at low rpms, even in high gears, I think it's "impossible" to stall... The only thing to take care in between cars is the large handlebar.

Fast enough for a adventure bike, great suspension, very confortable. For me the wind protecion is good, not an issue (I'm 1,80m), going at high speeds without feeling tired for a long time. Some heat in the right leg only at low speed, under 60kms\h. Average consumption 5,2l per 100 kms, going at a fast pace.

    If Suzuki is better, why are people buying less it? In Germany V-strom Jan-Jul 24 -> 525 sold Transalp -> 1000, source IVM Statistik

      At over 180kmph the front feels light but it's stable and not an issue.

    i test rode tenere,and over 120 the wind noise was terrible.i prefer clean air than buffeting.how was this?also have you tried transalp at high speeds?is it any good from wind protection and noise?

      Not really, the sound is bad because it was recorded with a sena 10c evo.

    O que tens a dizer da maquina? Estou a pensar em ir buscar uma para fazer umas viagens mais longas, e talvez um pouco fora de estrada! Obrigado

      Para viajar é muito confortável, as suspensões absorvem tudo, o consumo num ritmo bastante alegre anda nos 5,2 em ritmo de passeio faz 4,2. Logo tem uma autonomia de perto de 400kms com 1 depósito. Já fiz Lisboa - Sagres - Lisboa pelas nacionais num dia e sem stress. Uso também como moto do dia a dia e é muito fácil e equilibrada no meio do transito. Está com 5k kms e até agora foi só por gasolina e dar gás, sem nenhum problema. Quanto ao fora de estrada só fiz umas estradas fáceis de terra batida\gravilha e foi sem stress mas não é a minha praia por isso não sou a pessoa indicada para falar sobre esse tópico. Aconselho-te a fazer um test ride, acho que vais gostar ;)

      @@NMPV75 já fiz um test ride com ela. Achei que tem um torque brutal, e tambem notei numa vibração um pouco excessiva nas peseiras. Dos 0-140 é um animal. Mas andei pouco tempo, para ter a certeza. As suspensões também não deu para testar cem por cento mas pareciam boas. O fora de estrada seria caminhos desse genero, nada agressivo. Não me parecem maus consumos.. a minha indecisão chama-se africa twin, mas não sei se vale a grande diferença de valores para a 800DE…

      ​@@deagleusp Eu também pensei na Africa Twin mas o preço é muito superior para uma performance e comportamento semelhante. Além do mais teria de vender a Katana que é a menina dos meus olhos, estaria arrependido até hoje, quem me tira um 4 cilindros em linha a gritar tira-me tudo 😂

      @@NMPV75 entendo, tambem tenho a gsx s1000, que é igual ao motor da katana. E penso exatamente o mesmo. Não é opção vender a gsxs. Queria apenas algo com mais conforto, para viagens longas e que tenha um torque de tirar sorrisos ehehehe 😝

    200kmh = 124-125 mph. I’ve had bikes with a lower top end (DRZ400SM, 701SM, NC700X) which were great for back roads but difficult to ride on Texas highways when the travel speeds are 80-100mph. I feel like I could keep up and if I had to pass people I could make it stick on this bike. This bike, Transalp, Norden 901, Tracer GTand the new GSX1000GX are on my short list. Just waiting on the GSX to be released in the US before I make a decision.

      I don't feel vibrations at higher speeds. The bike is very confortable. That day I did about 650kms at a good pace and didn't felt any major issues with confort.

      ​@NMPV75 this bike looks similar to my transalp..I don't have vibrations either!! I am traveling with the same tempo around 150km/h for hours! I already have like 13000 km past 4 months 😂

      Only at low speeds (under 60kms\h) and only in the right leg. But not very unconfortable. (Portugal is very hot in the summer)

    That v strom 800 is a real beauty.....i tried both the 800 and the transalp...man! That 800 DE has à.very much better engine.....so more fun

      The v-strom has a more round engine, much better in low and mid revs, but if you rev hard the transalp is faster and also a lot of fun...

    Suzuki is more comfortable then transalp, suspention is better, seat is 200% better, engine is fantastic, most torque, vstrom 800de 👍👍👍

    Is it motorcycle good for touring? Is it fast enough? Have you tried transalp 750? Which is better?

      For touring my choice is suzuki, better suspension and torquer engine. Everybodys complaining about wind protecion, for me is ok. The bike is fast enough, it has a 21 front wheel, over 180kms\h you feel it very light.... top speed is 200kms\h more than enough for adventure bikes. Transalp has a sportier engine. If you rev it is faster than suzuki. You can have sporty ride with both, but thats not the aim for this bikes, they are dual purpose bikes and they are great doing that. You test ride both and see which one you like more, because they're great!!!

      Tried both, hands down the suzuki is better. Honda got some strongpoints (sound, stronger engine) but not enough to justify. Suzuki better in everything else. Looks are depending on person, so not counting them.

      @@KyriakosSoul hm tough one. Ktm 790 feels a bit more premium in parts and has all that sweet tech (cruise control, etc). Stability in the highway and good engine/speed combo. Not too many vibrations (like the transalp had) Changing gears in the ktm 790 felt like heaven and it was super smooth. Only the seat was not as comfortable in the ktm. I'd change that instantly and the stupid wind screen. That hole on top of the wind screen sent the air directly in my face, so it has to go. If you can live with the looks (i cannot 🤣) I'd say ktm 790 might be better. Personally, id still choose suzuki but credit where credit is due.
