@@exDFAcharliesmith9035 I usually fish from midnight to around sun rise for King salmon. Other spieces such as steelhead I fish after sun rise.

on that pier head I fished, there is still few fish around there, but not so many. I think this weekend is the last chance.

Actually a coho. Big one too!

That day was not cold and rainy, but windy day and water temp was cool so I could hook the fish up.

Yes, that was me. Thank you for helping me to bring it back up. That fish was my first king salmon and my kids were happy because I brought back the huge king to them. I could not see their smile without your helping.

@@Marashm no problem, many times guys at the piers will tell you and you'll have an idea for next time or next year. Took me 4 years to figure out exactly which lures that work for me. I hope it's faster for you.

It was North West in Michigan. I believe today's strong north wind will make the water cool so I am plannig to head to a pier on NW Michigan tonight

タモに魚が入ってないのを見た時は言葉を失いましたね。ランディングで3回は浮かせたので魚体を目視しましたが間違いなく80㎝はあった良いサイズのキング（色的にはメス）でした。今年は水温が高いせいかどこも遡上が遅れているようですね。今日明日の北風で水温が下がればいいのですが・・・。

ありがとうございます。オハイオから来られてるんですね！私はオハイオには冬シーズンにスチールヘッド求めて釣行に行っています。これはメス顔したオスでした（笑）残念ながら期待していたイクラはありませんでしたが、白子を美味しく頂きました。

@@kinnikuman9 スチールヘッドはロッキーリバーに行っています。シーズンインは12月頃だと思います。ホワイトホール、サーモン始めた2年前に初めて行った記念すべき防波堤です！釣った事はありませんが・・・。今週末は風も強くて水温もまだ70℉前後と高いようですね。サーモンはタイミングがホントに難しいですよね。ただこの北風が水温を下げてくれそうなので、来週半ば辺りがベストタイミングじゃないかと思っています。レイバーデイの連休にミシガン北部まで家族旅行に行ったついでにキングを狙ってきましたが、ここでもまだ本格的な遡上が始まっていませんでした。やはり今年は水温が高いせいか遡上が遅れているようです。

そうなんですよね〜この数年気温が高いんですよね。　私は10年前程Whitehallで始めたんですが4年目入ってから全然釣れなくなってここ最近一匹二匹釣れてる感じです。　2年前行った時は25ポンドの大物釣れてイクラちゃんたっぷりでしたよ〜　来週月曜日と火曜日頑張ってきます！　12月は初Steelheadも釣りに行きたいと思ってます！

@@kinnikuman9 Whitehallは最近放流していないから他のPierと比べて数が少ないと聞きました。でも25ポンドの大物が釣れるならチャレンジしたいですね。月、火曜と頑張って下さい。私も日曜北部のPierにリベンジ予定です。

I'm using Japanese rod & reel. the rod is made by Shimano, 8.6 feet Medium Light for sea bass, and the reel is Shimano 20Twinpower 4000MHG. It's a perfect setup for me.

I’m using fishing stringer(see around 4:00) Keep the fish alive as long as possible, then bleed out by cutting the gills about 10min before I leave.

thank you, I replaced the treble hooks to a big single hook on my favorite spoons. hope will get another fish with a single hook.

Thanks! He missed twice and that was 3rd time of landing try. The fish had already laid on the side and I let the fish sliding on the water surface to put him into the net, but he knew how to escape😂

That guy would never get another chance with a net again he literally could have scooped it 2 times before that

Last Friday. I was there this early morning but I got skunked due to hot water temp.

I was using Michigan City Rig, which is barrel swivel, float, and 2oz pyramid sinker from the top. there is a fluorocarbon leader on the swivel and a circle hook with shrimp.

I recommend a fishing pier at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. The pier is a good place for fishing with your son. There is a safety fence so the pier is very safe for kids. however due to the fence height, it might be little difficult to cast by your 6 yrs old son. If you go there, I highly recommend you should go there in the early moring on weekday. there are lots of fisherman on the pier if you go there weekend, you may not be able to cast & enjoy fishing with your son. I guess still you can catch the fish but the bite is slowing down now.

@@minicmichiganfishing7412 I went there today but only caught one. Everyone else was struggling too, because I only saw one other person who brought in a fish (and it easily was the size of my small hand). I ended up giving that one white bass away. But there was two old Chinese men who walked behind and saw my catch. One of them asked to see my bait and then nodded and walked away with it. I didn’t say he could have it but I didn’t want to be greedy so I just let him have it. He looked like he didn’t know how to catch fish because he had at least three hooks on his line. Anyways, it was a struggle today and I don’t think I will go back there again.

I don’t think so because no fence & no sign board like “ do not enter” so this is open spot and everyone can go this spot. There were a lot of fishermen there.

@@minicmichiganfishing7412 If you’re on the boat you can definitely see the sign but shore ppl won’t see it because it’s a small sign facing the water side., it’s in the middle of the island. Do you though lol ain’t no one gonna say anything

Lots fish were still there in early morning. After 7:30 bite was slow down.
