There's only two reasons to hate this anime and both are...honestly stupid. 1. Those that want series to go on forever and hate Akame ga Kill because it ends after a single one. BUT IT IS MEANT TO !! I actually agree with so many of these people on so many shows. Why do shows keep ending with no conclusion ??? Why do shows end with random transitions...and then cancelled after being super popular !!?? But with Akame...the single season works because it is written for it. Servitude, realization, rebellion, action, death, destruction, and finally...peace. It's perfect and beautiful. I know we all want our goals to be reached without loss, without death...but to reach a perfect union of wealth and people...there will be death, blood, and destruction on the way. I hope there will not be, but Akame ga Kill shows the story of a modern society realizing the reality of history...and those ready enact upon it the will of the people. 2. Conservative viewers believing that humanity is ok with the status quo. Maybe in other parts of the world, life is better. (I know it is not...I'm from Finland myself and even though Finnish people have it good compared to the US, Russia, China (in parts btw...some have it well af), Japan, Iran...we still suffer). BUT, life is hard everywhere for the average person. And this point pisses me off more than the previous because most people are average OR below. BUT, they deserve to live well nonetheless. The most mediocre person should have the same rights of living as the best among us. Yes, those who make a lot of contribution to our society should be awarded for their service. BUT NOT BASED ON MONETARY GAIN, to the state or themselves. Rather, they should be awarded by a board of equal and public peers to evaluate their contribution via long term means to the betterment of ALL HUMANITY. Anyways, those are two points that I think make people hate this show. Because...it ends with the good guys winning via horrible ends. It's not a benevolent show. Our "heroes" are murderers. Our main character dies while becoming something he once though he could not. And in the end, the one character we thought could make it out without continuing her hellish life...she continues to kill, maim, and destroy...but now in the name of what we viewers want. Which is hard to accept, but she's not the enemy...she's our angel in black. A harsh reality of how or how not...we will end up in the real world. Let those "above us" take eternal control...or realize the harsh truth of history and rebel and follow a leader willing to break those bonds. I know who I'll follow, if they ever arise.
