That was the last good year of Malibu‘s. After that, they were junk. I had a 1977 Malibu classic myself that had 350 2 barrel, engine, two-door, silver, and a red interior. The only extras it had was a cassette player and air conditioning, the latter which didn’t work. Is that the original paint job on it? GM’s metallic paint jobs were notoriously horrible in the 1970s and 1980s, they turned into sandpaper after a few years.

Growing up near Lafayette, and being there every other weekend, I knew that strip of road very well. Once I got a car in late 80s/early 90s, me and my buddies from Hermitage Springs clocked many a lap on this piece of road. You're even playing the same music we rocked out to. Many happy memories. This brings back some memories... I had a blue 77 Malibu Classic and I installed the 75/76 Laguna opera window louvers painted to match the color of the car which made it very unique and quite stylish and they fit without any modifications

I just put a very similar setup in my 85 monte carlo. Is that the one with the Vortec heads, flat tappet lifters and 67 Corvette cam?

Wow, the Magnaflow exhaust looks awesome and makes the car sound like the classic Impalas. This will look good on my 2006 Impala LTZ. The stock pipes are rusting pretty badly and make the car look cheap.

lol my dads came like that from the shop xD its stock on his, not megnaflow and it sounds 10x better xD

@Cannabis919 Nice attempt at being a smartass, but you failed. Flowmaster makes a muffler with one inlet and two outlets so that you can have dual tips. Which is exactly what this guy has as stated in the description...."Flowmaster 40 series, 3" in, 2-1/2"

@betolui Depends on what year your truck is. Newer trucks like some back pressure. Taking of the cat will also mess up your sensors.

@todd77malibu By the way, have you ran it down the track? If so what does it run in 1/4? My step dad's runs 14.24. His is built like yours... very powerful and fast but isn't the quickest.

That's clearly a classic. My step dad has a 74 Chevelle Malibu Classic and a 76 Malibu Classic. He doesn't like the 76 and 77 header panel so he put on the 73. 76 and 77 header panels just look ugly. Nice car man!

how much does a magnaflow cat back exhaust run for?

i about to buy a 77 malibu for 6200, and its practically in showroom cond. 350 looks just like the one in this vid. my only concern, is that it didnt start up right away, how concerned should I be? any experts out there? fair price?

should of got the super 44... sounds much better... you need larger piping as well...

I have had this car since it was new... this car IS a 77 Malibu Classic Landau.... it has been completely changed... it has a 74 front end, why??? because I wanted to change it!! I am so tired of people not reading earlier posts... i've already been through explaining thisstuff at least once...

are you sure its a 77?i had a 77 malibu classic landau,the original color was same as yours,is that the original front piece,thought 77`s had 4 headlites dim/high beam lites,mine had 4 headlights.

@ njgray0132- Go with the magnaflows, they sound better on the impala. I like flowmaster, have them on my truck, but the magnaflows have a more refined gut wrenching rumble than the flowmasters on my SS. The muffler shop was kind enough to let me try both types for a sound check before final purchased, and everyone in the shop liked the magnaflow sound, including myself. The flowmasters are too raspy sounding, or should I say, (raggedy sounding). Get the Magnaflows!!!!!!!!

Earl Schibe $199midnite blue(looked black) Took 1990's stangs from a 15mph roll(3.08,s rear) all for $2500Getting laid for the 1st time in that HUGE back seat PRICELESS! Round lites look 1974ish Chevelle I took dark headlite tints from a bronco,cut em to 4 squares and fit em inside the metal headlite retaining ring!One day ill do it again!sweet car brother..
