Thank you! Having a light equipment load helps! A heavy equipment load has the lowest amount of invincibility frames while a light load has the highest. You can improve that even further with the Crucible Tail Feather Talisman! Aside from that it’s all about your timing!

@@oldkingdomcrisp Personally, I find fights without parries to be more interesting and impressive, since winning a fight by parrying is fairly simple. Not saying it's easy, just that there isn't much to it gameplay wise. So thx for the video!

I get what you mean! I find parry timing a bit harder, but once you get it down it completely simplifies the fight. Going from ensuring the combo is done before attacking to shutting the combo down immediately. It cuts Rellana’s fight time in half!

@@oldkingdomcrisp @oldkingdomcrisp Would you be interested in trying Rellana by trying to prefectly dodge most of her attacks? That may be the hardest way to do her no hit. Not even sure if that's possible tbh. Just an idea if that's something you would like to try. Would absolutely subscribe for something like that, too :D

I’m sure it’s possible. I know how to dodge all of her attacks at this point. There are two that still give me some issues though due to little reaction time or roll catching me if I’m too close. Parrying actually helped me learn the timing better though. I’ve got plenty of other perfectly dodged boss fights available on my channel from most FromSoft games if that interests you as well!

This one was tough! I legit thought it had me with the close range breath attack. Very easy to get cornered by an AOE attack

If you’re looking to be improve your survivability early on. Then focus on trying to find Scadutree Fragments before taking on any bosses! These are specific to the DLC and make up the new leveling system giving a higher damage output and negation!

so is your rapier base or maxed out? Jw if it would need to be base to stack the correct amount of damage or poise at the right time to get the same effect you did

Sorry for the late response. This is rogier’s rapier and I believe he gives it to you at +8? I did no additional boosts to the weapon though. Previous comments suggest this strat still works for him although it’s been a while since I’ve tried again.

I have quite a small channel here. A lot of my videos get 0 love, but this video is the one that still gets regular views albeit a small amount 😅 so I appreciate the compliment!

This is a strat I worked out for a RL1 No Hit Run! After Patch 1.08 Flame of the Redmane was no longer an option so this was the next best option. The goal definitely being beat Maliketh with the least opportunities to get hit with limited prep time! Much appreciated!

@@oldkingdomcrisp Good to know you keep doing content man! 👍 i made a compilation video in my YT channel, crap quality, my run was recorded on Twitch from Ps4 so yeah not much to say about it, there were many dumb mistakes but since it only took me like 8 attempts and two weeks of practicing, overall is a good job, number 137 in the world so, if you think that there are millions of guys playing ER, it's a quite good mark! Now im working on my Nioh no hit run, then i will probably do Bloodborne (the easiest) or Lies of P, how about you? which would be you next no hit run?

The beast clergyman does not have a scripted opener so yes there is some RNG involved in the start of the fight. That being said in my experience he more often than not starts with that forward lunge. Dodging back usually creates the distance to proc either the rock sling or rock throw. The only attack I find problematic at the start is a ground aoe he does as it takes longer than the others so the second glintstone won’t poise break him.

@@oldkingdomcrisp my problem was as soon as i went through the fog gate i would use the sorc, but sometimes he would charge off the rip and trap you in the entrance. I found a reliable way by running to the middle baiting an attack and then do the double the sorc cast. Thank you for your help you the goat

@@zlr9022 ahhhhh, okay. In this video this is my first encounter with the beast clergymen/Maliketh for that playthrough so while he doesn’t have a scripted first attack during your first encounter he will be sitting down. Any entrance after that first encounter he’s already up and ready to go. My misunderstanding there! I’m glad you found a way to make it work for you!

That’s awesome! A pretty short run so I really need to get back into my no hit runs hah. It’s made by the same team as Nioh, but it’s not a Nioh sequel. Nioh is Japanese history/mythology, and Wo Long is Chinese history/mythology. The loot system is pretty much the exact same as well as the level set up. The combat is different though with more of a sekiro style of dodging with “deflects.” The timing needs to be way more precise than what I’m used to with souls games, but for the most part pretty fun.

@@oldkingdomcrisp One thing i dont like from Nioh is the saturation of colors, lots of bright colors that could kill an epileptic person in one second, not kidding, i bet Wo long must be like that... Also, i dont like too much a game completely oriented to japanese/chinese culture, not my thing really.

The part about flashiness is probably accurate! I personally enjoy Chinese/Japanese culture games, but to each their own!

@@oldkingdomcrisp brother! i finished ds3 without dying right after BB i mean that was the last time i played (3 days ago) , so it was literally two continous deathless runs! 😄 believe it or not! of course i have died many times to ds3, many attempts but this time i played so relaxed i didnt have too much trouble except for some weird mistakes i did, one to Lothric, somehow i missed hits when he was healing his brother, got stuck behind Lorian for some reason didnt reach my objective... My best fight was probably Cinder or Pontyf, so that is! hope you dont mind reading my comments, so if you have done any ds3 speedrun let me know, i would like to hear your opinion

Damn! That’s pretty badass! Have you been streaming or posting the videos? I haven’t done a speedrun yet on DS3. I am set up for one though. I was practicing for a no damage run a while back, but wanted to play more of the series before I dedicated that kind of time!

To be perfectly honest I can't say for sure without seeing what you are doing. I can only assume that you are maybe missing a buff or aren't fully charging the R2? As far as I'm aware there hasn't been a newer update so this method should still work!

💔 I haven’t taken the time to relearn that fight since the recent update. The loss of redmane was rough. Had a personal best of 2 hits on a RL1 No Hit Run with this strat to finish it. Then the update came 😭 I really just need to pick up the fight again then I’ll let you know! I’ve never parried him though!

@@oldkingdomcrisp aww that's really unlucky timing, I've been practicing for a bit and parrying him is actually really easy and the crit damage with a fire misericorde is quite nice even without a dagger talisman.

Lots of practice! Each enemy has an invisible poise meter and if you know how much poise damage each of your attacks can do you can set a lot of enemies up to stagger easily!

Fire Giant is pretty easy for me at this point. Mad hours into practice hah I usually go for no hit runs over no death runs. I have videos up of all DS3 bosses beaten with no damage taken and save files set up to practice for a run but haven't attempted it yet. I do plan on doing so there are just so many games coming out right now that I want to play hah

@@oldkingdomcrisp which games? nioh's franchise got a new game, im not a big fan of those, just waiting for the Elden ring dlc. Btw i was practicing for my ds3 speedrun, i got almost done the dancer, pontyf, Dragonslayer and Aldrich, the one that gives me trouble is Crystal sage phase two, i have to learn how to read the crystal yet, because you know, i dont want to base my game in good rng, this fight is potentially complicated at low level.

You talking about Wo Long? It comes out in March and it is something I wanted to try. I play a variety of games, but have only been posting souls like content so far. I was live streaming while playing for a few months and have to get back to it. Right now I’m playing Fire Emblem Engage, Forspoken, Sons of the Forest came out today, and I wanted to try Atomic Heart. On top of a list of other games I have and haven’t touched yet like Kingdom Hearts 3 😂

Gotta save the best for last brother! Right now, I'm running through all bosses no damage, and I'm in the Altus Plateau area currently! I have about 60 videos uploaded that will be made public over the next few weeks!

@@oldkingdomcrisp Do Fallingstar beast (mt gelmir) and Black blade Kindred (Bestial sanctum) too , these two are hard and underrated bosses, way harder than many others main game bosses in Elden ring.

I’ve had most of these videos uploaded for at least a week. They’ve just been waiting on me to add descriptions and such then make them public! So I usually work on a few at once then schedule their release to the public!

I don’t use bloodboil during this run as it takes another 20 minutes or so to set up. This is part of a no hit run I was working on, but put on hold with a personal best of 2 hits for the whole run as I had to come up with a new strat for Maliketh and Radagon after 1.08. I don’t even use the exalted flesh anymore as it’s not needed. Just hit him with two pots when you first down him, let your stamina reset then I go for two charge R2s at his heel for critical hits, a non critical charge R2 and a poke which puts him right back down to get another hit or two to transition into the second phase. Higher levels mean increased damage which means less hits to begin phase two which might change the amount of hits necessary for a stagger in the second phase.

I uploaded an updated version of this fight in 4k. It will be available in less than an hour!

@@oldkingdomcrisp i just watched the video, that's the problem when you dont get a stagger in second phase hitting his hands, you were lucky that a stone didn't fall on your head! 😄 Was thinking maybe casting Glintblade phalanx ash of war in second phase might work, i have to make some test later.

@@dedosmagicosmetal504 nah, that’s my strategy albeit a little slow needing a third hit on his leg. I don’t like the immediate stagger off the hand. At RL1 if he staggers with 1 hit to the hand in the second phase then you won’t get the kill off the charged R2s to his eye without the boost from exalted or aromatic. I usually get the stagger on the second hit to his leg and know from experience that those fireballs will be close. It’s not luck hah

I don’t like relying on the exalted or aromatic for this fight. If you’re going for a no death or no hit run sometimes you need to strategically bail out of this fight if RNG doesn’t go your way in either phase in order to save your run. So more consumable use either means more prep time or limited attempts for success against certain bosses. So it’s a little bit personal preference as well as strategic hah

+10 you can get an ancient somber stone for it under a gazebo where there’s a dragon casting lightning attacks before the beside the great bridge Grace.

Now that you mention it for real none. I’m still used to calling these Chakrums from Kingdom’s of Amular. Trying to defeat bosses with a “walk the dog” attack

By the looks of it you are definitely getting two charged R2s in there. How are you ending the first phase? The 2 Charged R2s in the second phase will only work if you get Charged r2 after the riposte to lead into the second phase. I’ll be attempting this again later to verify nothing had changed on my end. There wasn’t a new patch since 1.08 has there?

The Serpent Hunter is truly great all throughout RL1! The stat requirements are 0 and it starts with high strength scaling! You can also get it to +9 within an hour with only one boss required.

@@oldkingdomcrisp I haven't had the chance to try it on the new update. Used the same method to cheese the final boss. After updating to latest version, stuck on final boss cause the cheese no longer works on the final boss. 😢 😭

I used this weapon to beat Elden Ring without getting hit. So it definitely hurt me to see it take a hit. They dropped the poise damage from 30 to 8 I believe. Most of my RL1 strats are still valid, but I have to rework Radagon/Elden Beast still hah

I was planning on running through the bosses of Dark Souls: Remastered next, but I do have to get back to work on Elden Ring. I do have a live streamed Elden Ring Any% No Hit Run, and a RL1 Any% No Hit Run with a personal best of 2 hits, but those aren’t melee only and no longer work entirely on the current patch so more practice is needed!

I do have another video up for fire giant at RL1 on my channel. I haven’t attempted Mohg yet though. I switched my tactics a bit and just go for three charged R2s and a poke. The heel of his foot is a critical spot as well as his eye so hit those for extra damage

No problem! I play on both PC and PS5. He's a totally different beast in multiplayer though. I know his health increases, but not sure about his poise. @@polly9753 Dark Souls was also my first Fromsoft game (the OG not the remastered) but didn’t have the patience that I do now for the games hah and am glad I’m coming back to them all!
