    U should try fasting. Not just for weightloss. But to help clear your system and let you body heal inflammation. Most foods we eat on a daily basis are unfortunately inflammatory.

    Sorry to comment again...I'm 78 and still weigh the same as when I was 22yrs. I always considered food as fuel so I've never had a problem. However, I've never craved carbs, only protein. Maybe genetics but my parents came out of the Depression days when most people in the USA were thin. All the best, you'll get there!

    Grats on sticking to it. Off-topic: I went out to do some macro shots to see if I had the spark still. Mainly mushroom hunting. Got a great mushroom shot. Focus bracketed it 4x (40 shots each) in different parts of the mushroom as the focal points then before combining the 100+ images I erased all the out of focus images to only keep the first 10 or so. Then, I used helicon on only the in focus images. Man, that mushroom came out with so much detail that the inner strands could be zoomed in super sharp. But that's not where I'm going with this. Where I'm going is, I got the worst absolute worst!, case of chiggers on my ankles. It's an indescribable amount of itch, lol.

Dropping that to a 1000 calories today and carrying on the bike and weights for the month which will hopefully shift some weight before I start trying running again. @MicaelWidellOnLife 2 месяца назад

    It's like a broken record, but i need to start this seriously myself. Drinking 2 16oz Redbulls a day and not carring what i eat contribute to weight gain but seriously need to just start eating greens, fish, (not getting rid of streaks f that), chicken and black coffee. It was like last night with the wife going "nice youre getting boobage, get bigger ones than me, i kill you," lol. So yeah, i think documenting weight loss and actually having a start date will be sept 1st.

    Well done with walking.. I'm walking every day for 20k steps. I'm using strava apk for measuring my steps and to see all the routes where to walk. Do you use that?? And for the weight loss I drink hot tea made of 1 lemon, little bit of ginger, teaspoon of honey and teaspoon of cinnamon and turmeric.. And kilogram are going down like crazy

  • @19Photographer76
    @19Photographer76 3 месяца назад

    I've always focused on the type of calories, not the total amount, and it's worked for me. What's not factored in is salt. Even if you consume below your daily caloric limit but consume lots of salt, you'll probably gain weight.

    • @MicaelWidellOnLife
      @MicaelWidellOnLife 3 месяца назад

      I doubt salt can do any difference other than short term? Doesn’t make any sense?

      @@MicaelWidellOnLife You'll retain more fluid. That's why people with heart failure have a limit to their daily salt consumption. I never said it was permanent unless the daily caleries contain over 2300 milligrams of salt per day.

    When you get your goal weight, wouldn't you need to up your calories to the right amount for size and lifestyle? Which in turn would re-add weight? I don't know if 800 is a lifetime sustainable calorie amount. Perhaps more lifting would drop more weight even though muscle weighs more than fat. What I do know is if you put your body into starvation mode, it will hold any calorie you put in it.

    • @MicaelWidellOnLife
      @MicaelWidellOnLife 7 месяцев назад

      In theory there will be a perfect level of calorie intake where I keep the same weight. So when I reach my target weight, the plan is to find that level of calories and be strict about keeping it.

    I'm not sure myself, but my theory is that if you are sick, your body needs energy to fight the virus, and obviously calories are the source of the energy. From another hand, if you really poorly, you don't even feel like eating anything, so maybe my theory is wrong. Who knows, maybe everyone is different and needs different things to cope with illness

      They burn the same number of calories per unit of distance. Running burns more calories per unit of time - basically because you take more steps in that unit of time. Put another way, you have to walk for a longer amount of time to burn the same number of calories as running. Interestingly, though, walking burns a greater percentages of its calories from fat than running does.
