Black Friday Top Tips To Save Time and Money! 2022 UPDATED!
Thank you for this review. this cpu was the aboslute cheapest i could find that is am5, cheap and not slow for day to day tasks. i've now built an all new budget pc with this cpu for my studies and it's working beautifully. Also the fact that i'm on the am5 platform which gives me an upgrade path if i ever need to upgrade to another gaming centric cpu gives me comfort.
I'm glad to hear the CPU is working well for your studies! The AM5 platform really does offer great flexibility for future upgrades.
When will they realise Core Ultra 2 Series on these Lenovo laptops? I'm waiting for it to be CoPilot + PC before I buy one.
I'm not sure. It's odd that they only put the series 2 chips in the Yoga Slim for now. If you wait for the series 2 in the Yoga 7 or 9 it will be one of the best machines on the market. But also Black Friday is around the corner and the Yoga 7 and 9 with the series 1 chips will probably be heavily discounted.
I have already chosen two items to buy. Thank you for sharing !
I appreciate you going through the trouble. Thank you! I wish your channel success.
I really appreciate that! Glad you found the video helpful.
good review. the battery sounds like is the down side..too bad...would you recommand this over the lenovo slim7x?
Yoga Slim is very nice. You can get the snapdragon chip in that one or the new intel series 2. It has way better battery life but the screen doesn't flip around all the way for tablet mode. Also the snapdragon chip doesn't support all games and apps. So I would say be sure the software you need is supported on snapdragon and you are ok with losing the 360° hinge. The new Intel series 2 chips have solved the battery issue however so I would personally choose the 9i with the new series 2 chips that should be available soon.
Dope chair
warranty is a scam
It seems that way so far. They still have not responded. If this channel was bigger, they would jump to help fix the issue.
samsung
I've had awful service from Samsung as well.

Salam.
Fantastic video. Youre 100% correct. There no "technical difficulty". They want to wear you out and make you buy a new one.
It's certainly not a good customer experience. Like I said it's just one SD card but if I had a big media agency with tons of storage devices that failed we would have just bought new hardware by now, from a different manufacturer. The post purchase experience is what keeps customers loyal or forces them to move on.
Trying to decide between these -- 14". The 7i is 699 but it's a little heavy/large (compared to my yoga 6). The 9i , smaller and lighter, is on sale for 1100 USD. University usage so nothing crazy. Multiple tabs, light programming. No video editing, no gaming, so I don't care too much about graphics, sound. Thoughts? TYSM
@notimportant123 The 7i will have better battery if that's more important to you. The screen on the 9i is super nice and noticeably better over the 7i. You may benefit from the nicer keyboard on the 9i for programming. The 9i is certainly better and worth it like I said the battery life is less and there is no HDMI. If you don't mind those trade offs and have the budget the 9i is really good. Otherwise the 7i is a great choice too but as you mentioned it's a bit heavy. My girlfriend has the 7i and she says she wishes it was a bit lighter. I hope that helps!
From Experience the 8500g is a bit too low on Performance, if you can do, I would rather go with a 8600g or 8700g
Yes I think thats good choice. The 8500G is a great value but the 8600g and 8700g are worth worth it if the budget fits. This will be used as an office PC so the 8500g was a great fit.
@@theproshopper then it really is. I only got the 8500g as a gap chip, because my old PC (budget PC from 2015, Intel 660 as core) gave in and I dont have enough money put aside rn to build Something good, so I just got that one, because it was the cheapest AM5 APU. It does OK, but I think I shouldve got the 8700g, especially because of the PCle lane Problem
yo fellow full brushed aluminum PC case user i love these cases a lot mine is a Lian Li matx case it really helps absorb all the heat inside its like an extra heatsink
Nice. Brushed aluminum gang! I love the cold hard metal feel of it. I've built tons of PCs in this case.
Great Cpu for a whole build that can be upgraded later tbh and a620 boards support all 65w processors so you can upgrade the cpu later when you have money for a gpu and make a 1440p gaming setup for example, tbh its the best cpu you can buy if you plan on swapping it later the 8600g is better if you are planning to get a gpu in the near future because of the pcie lanes and tbh you can just add a gpu inside their maybe youll get 25% less performance for higher cards but for 1080p cards it doesnt matter i really like this cpu i only wished it had the same 8 pcie lanes for the gpus like the 8600g and 8700g so it doesnt hinder your future upgrade that much.
Yeah I dont think the lower PCI lanes is that big of an issue like you said. But as a reviewer its important that I paint the whole picture. Too many "reviewers" are really just making sponsored content and dont actually communicate any negative aspects of a product. I'll always provide the good, the bad and my final thoughts at the end.
@@theproshopper Yes thats actually true the PCIe lanes dont really matter unless you add a 8500g with a 4090 😂 which is not reasonable i love this processor myself i have 1 in my machine.
you find some mini PCs around 400-500$ with and APU like 8845HS or 6900HX. its looks affordable to me than building a DDR5 apu build. but this depends on the prices of your region
Good point. I'd love to do a few Mini PC reviews. I still think the long-term maintenance or repair is best on a custom-built PC. This one is for business use, so I'd like it to be easily serviceable in the future.
"budget" ?????????!!!!!!!!!!
Let me of any better options you have for a similar price. I can cover it in a future video.
The worst comparison ever… browser speed test is meaningless and you have to factor price of monitor and all and portability. You cannot just compare price per internet speed.
Totally get what you're saying. It's hard to compare without a full picture. I just had my laptop right beside it so I was curious of the result. I must say it still annoyed me that the laptop lost lol.
@@theproshopper you should also compare the gaming and benchmark test for stressing the cpu like 3dmark or others thats for the power of the cpu but if want too you can say about the plattform and problems or special features
and sth like overclock and core speed
You get the same cpu in ally z1 and you can get ally cheaper
Very good point. The handhelds are super cool. It's $900+tax here in Canada at Best Buy for the Ally. I got this PC for around 700 all in after-tax. But I think the ally is a good option for those who prioritize gaming and mobility.
I’ll take neither, forget Intel
I totally understand. We'll see if they can turn things around with the new chips.
Amazing review, thanks!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I had an issue too, twice actually, after sending my PC in for repairs and receiving a new one. It turned out to be a faulty SSD. I did a lot of troubleshooting before realizing that the SSD looked cheap and lacked support. If you're experiencing issues and it's not the RAM, it might be the SSD, especially if your Windows is installed on it.
My unit has been good ever since but I wont be buying another one.
It’s not similar in cost for similar specs or performance, you’ll be paying about 30% more for the same spec pc with that 2 year warranty and compact design not to mention the thermal issues you’ll run into trying to push these to the same performance as a similar spec pc with better airflow.
It's certainly over-priced.
I have the Corsair One Pro i200, an even more expensive version, and it is sitting dead in my office. Just out of warranty, and Corsair refuses to do any out-of-warranty work. Local repair shops won’t either. Expensive paperweight.
Sir would you mind giving it to me😅😅
That's terrible. I would gut it out and test the parts one by one.
@@theproshopper that’s my plan. Of course I’m gonna have to buy a test bench for this, but it’s that or junk it.
Same thing happened to me recently. But it has been going on since I got the computer 3 years ago. I ordered a Mac and will play games on a PS5 instead. This is ridiculous.
I get it :)
At least your top fan is adjusting its speed… mine doesn’t anymore until the coolant reaches 60c, then it goes full throttle… Replaced the fan, reinstalled icue, nothing fixed the issue. Contacted support, they want to send me a new fan after I already told them I tried the above steps. I feel like Corsair support is only good while under warranty as they’ll just RMA. After that, good luck trying to solve issues with them…
Luckily it's been good ever since I got it repaired.
I just had to stop by and comment on this - I had the EXACT SAME ISSUE on not one, but two Corsair ONE systems! I had to replace the RAM because one of the modules failed. RAM modules typically NEVER fails, so this is a very strange problem to encounter
Sorry to hear that. I also have never experienced ram fail before. I'm glad Corsair took care of it, the PC has been perfect since. It's a simple problem for savvy people but it would be very frustrating for someone non-savvy especially on a premium item like the C1. I would still recommend them since the service was great, I'm sure the new models don't have this issue anymore.
Super professional review, have my eye on one of these!
Thanks so much for the kind words! They are pricey but worth it.
I have had my Corsair i164 for three years now and it’s been great till now. I’m outside the warranty range and my pc is now blue screening almost instantly after every boot I’ve tried everything I could myself and even took it to a repair shops and they said they are not sure of the issue and can’t they can’t do anything so I’m at a loss myself so for three years I loved this thing now I’m kinda hating it 😅
Try hitting start and search for "Windows Memory Diagnostic" It willl restart and run a test. It will let you know if RAM is bad. Also go into BIOS and see idle temperatures. If its hot at idle it could be a cooling issue. Another good place to check is "event viewer". That will show you the Windows Log and look for red exclamation marks to see what the cause of shut down was.
@@theproshopper the event viewer shows the critical error being a kernel power event ID 41 did the "windows memory diagnostic" and it came up with no issues and in the BIOS the temp is running at normal levels. sometimes my pc works fine for multiple hours other times it will boot up then within seconds of trying to do something it will frezze then crash or just crash then it will be in a constant loop of booting to the bios, after I press and hold the power button and let it stay off for at least 10-30 secs it will sometimes turn on and run like normal other times it will boot up then crash and do the BIOS loop again.
Hey, I know exactly what the problem is, I've had it on mine as well, I wanted to update the Bios before moving forward, but replacing the SSD completely solved my issue, that was until after half an year later, the BSODs occured in the new drive as well, I'm replacing my drive again today, but I will be watching the Bios and SSD firmware closely.
@@landonhwhsnsbsjjYou're screwed if it's a video card or mainboard issue. I'm going through something similar right now and am at the point where my only recourse is to file a consumer protection complaint, because Corsair will not allow me to buy an extended warranty, pay to repair it (they refuse to touch any system that is not under warranty), and they can only get certain parts, not what I need. About 14 months after purchase both the NVME SSD and the GPU failed, so I'm SOL.
@landonhwhsnsbsjj This might be a longshot, but have you checked it's dusty at all? I have the same model as you, and I was getting a lot of blue screens and couldn't figure out the issue. It was also the kernel power error for me. I had never bothered to clean the dust filters, and ever since I gave them a good cleaning, I haven't gotten once since. Thankfully that was the solution for me.
i have corsair one but with 4090 RTX ! great machine
Wow nice. I didn't know they had 4 series cards available now.
@@theproshopper they don't not even a 4080, sus
Very impressive for its age
Yes it is. I'd love a new model but I can't justify an upgrade just yet. They really do well in the long term.
I want one but it doesnt look like they're offering 4 series cards yet.
Yes hopefully they will soon. I'm still super happy with my 2080ti but a 4080 or 4090 in this form factor would be insane and worth the wait. You'll love yours once you get it. Thanks so much for watching my video!
I have a Nextbase 622 gw had it about 6 weeks now and it is a bad dashcam i never buy from them again its vid quailty is poor, it as a red Tint on the clips and to be honisty i wish i never seen it . the red Tint i asked Nextbase about and they told me that they change the WB so it as a red tint on the clips, and i have also been told by Nextbase THAT IT DOSE NOT RECORD IN 4K WHEN THE image stabilization is being used. its not good dont buy one.
I really wanted to like the Nextbase but it just had too many issues. Hopefully the new models are better
Chopping and changing camera angles/view is most annoying...
Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to keep peoples attention and this has been the best performing video I have ever made across 3 RUclips channels.
crazy drivers in russia? grow up chunky, enough crazy fux in usa/canada to worry about
I disagree with the reviewer as I use Nextbase 622gw. The larger screen with extreme weather and night view enhancement will allow you to avoid problems as you come upon sudden fog. Who cares about analysis after the accident, what is more important is to avoid accidents. Although the 3 inch screen is still small, it is a great help when suddenly you are blinded by mist or fog.
I'd like to try the newer models and make a follow up to this video.
Will buying two of them and using one forward and one rear. Will they pair ?
Yes you can pair them and they will record together. Be sure to use the purchase link in the description to help support the channel. Thanks!
Nextbase is way better quality, this can even be seen in your footage - you put too much emphasis on tech/gadgets, surely clarity has to be more important?
😂 i guess you haven’t heard about all the problems with Nextbase DCs (non-removable internal battery does not hold up to temperature extremes. Battery dies -> DC dies)! Do yourself a favor and buy the Garmin or something better!
@@Bacnow I've had Nextbase hardwired in 3 vehicles for 6 years....the only issue I've had is sucker mounts which can be replaced from eBay for £2.50 delivered.
It did have great quality. But in the end I still think the Garmin is the overall best camera at least in these models.
Are there front daskcams with a wireless rear dashcam?
I'm not sure but you can get 2 Garmins and pair them together and they will record at the same time. I have one for the front and one for the rear.
Well done on the review
Thanks so much for watching!
I am looking for a Dash Cam for my motor home. The windshield in my motor home is perfectly vertical, and I have been through two cameras already that have a suction cup mount that is actually behind the lens, meaning if I mount them to the windshield the camera lens hits the windshield and the camera must be pointed at the dash which doesn't work. Would the Garmin work on a vertical windshield?
It's hard to say. It is quite small so possibly, you can always return to Amazon and BestBuy if it doesn't work for you.
I have the 522GW and I had zero problems getting it to link with my phone. My only gripe is the picture quality. I have a 128Gig SDXC 1 U3 A2 V30 card in it and it’s set at 1440 the picture isn’t as clear as what you show. Still a good dash cam. Mine came with a 32Gig card & Carrying case. $399 +tax 🇨🇦 It’s $299 for the 522GW with the card & case at Best Buy now.
Good price, I'm glad you are liking yours. Thanks for watching!
@@theproshopperI’ve since up graded to the 622 4K $451 !! Works great ! Just hate how you can’t get rid of Military Time !!! Set it to Canada and it set it to -4 but still gave stupid military time !! It’s great otherwise 👍
Nice review. I do have to say that you contradicted yourself saying the Garmin didn't have a suction cup mount and can't be moved from car to car. When unboxing the Garmin, there were two magnets in the bag so that it would be very easy to move it between two cars. Just sayin'.
Yes that's true. But its still only 2 of them and once you place them they are hard to remove. I more meant that it can't be moved and repositioned as much as you need across many cars like If you work at a dealership and drive different cars often.
OMG the video is recorded at Simcoe street .
Yes it is!
Great review!
Thanks so much!
I appreciate your review, it has helped me understand what to look for and what not to get in a dash cam. Cheers.
I'm glad to hear it. That's the goal with this channel.
Thankyou 👌
Thanks for watching!
Bro, best review, THANK YOU!!!
Thanks so much!
Is the over heating issue for nextbase fixed ? All over reviews people are complaining
Not sure. It was super hot and made me worried lol.
I've just ordered a collection for my brand new NextBase 422 dashcam. The battery won't charge from the mains and it keeps turning itself on and off. I googled it and it's a very common issue with this brand. Maybe it's a great dash cam when it works but there's a ton of faulty ones out there. Be warned.
I also had too many issue with what was a brand new unit. I had to return it.
Great review! Thanks for taking the time to make this. I like the Garmin.
Thanks so much, my Garmin is still going strong.
