Don't let my corrections fool you, I learned a lot from this video. I wish you were my study buddy. I swore on a stack of bibles no one could ever get me to understand how to add values to the quadratic formula and then solve. I memorized the formula long ago, but I still had no idea how to use it. I think you were the one that finally did it. Another problem I always have is taking a word problem and turning into an equation I can solve. You were a big help there. I'm always trying to use too many variables instead of just expressing several of the different values in terms of x. I'm always trying to go (a + b + c + d = y). I don't need 4 different variables to represent 4 different people when I can say (x + (x + 15) + (x + 15 * .5) + (x-5) = y). I also had no idea I didn't know the formula for the surface area of a cone until now. I also thought I knew everything about percentages until I tried to calculate the negative percentage change in a salary. And then simplifying an expression by factoring and foiling to check my work was super helpful. The more I think I know, the less I know... ya know? Anyway, thanks for the video. I know this must have been a ton of work to put together. Good job. You rock!

When plotting inequalities on a number line if the symbol is (less than) 4 you would add a circle to 4 as well, but not filled in, a hollow circle, then a solid line with an arrow heading left, meaning less than 4, but not including 4. If it was a (less than or equal to) symbol you would have the same thing, but in that case the circle would be filled in meaning less than 4, but also including 4.

On problem 88 when you total up the values contributed it looks like they only spent $342.50 out of the $350. Looks like one of them pocketed the rest.

Question 78 the capital B in a formula means (base x base) and small b means (base), so the formula is actually 1/3 x height x base 1 x base 2 The answer is 96,000 square ft. not 1600.

On question 55 when combining like terms of the numbers raised to the 2nd power you missed the negative sign on the -6. The correct answer is E) 9x^4 - 45x^3 + 44x^2 +10x

The answer to 19 is actually 1.678 x 10 ^5. Scientific notation requires only 1 digit before the decimal. You can't have 2 digits before the decimal and call it scientific notation. That's not a thing.

@ 21:46 when you say isolate one of the variables, speaking from experience it's all hieroglyphics to people who don't know. It helps to say (you're going to subtract (y) from both sides of the equation) which gives you x = 30 - y. Otherwise, they're just watching a variable jump from one side of the = sign to the other without any understanding of why it jumped. Also, as I'm sure you already know, you can multiply all terms in this particular equation by 4 if you want to eliminate dealing with decimal points.

I think the answer to 5 is each side equals 11 and 11 x 11 = 121. 15 - 4 does not equal 9, it's 11. The answer is not listed.

Thank you very much, there's just one thing, on Question 37, there's 1.5 cup of Olive Oil and when you were solving it you wrote that there's 2.5 of olive oil, so at the end it adds up to 3.9 but if it's 1.5 it will add up to 2.9. Is the actual GED math section harder than this? Currently going into my junior year of highschool and im tired of the school system so im contemplating dropping out, taking my GED tests, and then going to community college for the next two years then switching to a 4 year school for what i actually want to major in. If this is what the math section is actually like then it seems like passing will be no problem.

If He drove 15 miles 1 way to the store in 1 hour, that's 15mph, then he stopped for 1 hour of shopping. Then drove back home at 15mph. to get home in an hour. Now if there were traffic lights involved, I would understand the 30mph. But if there weren't any lights, and he was driving 30mph 1 way, wouldn't it only take him 30min. to drive 15 miles 1 way? None of these Choices they give, are Correct. Correct??
