GSSM Class of '25 here!
Be yourself....,ᎥᎤᎣᎢᎡᎠᎦᎭᎹᎹᎾᏆᏌᏓᏝᏝᏝᏯᏯᏜᏍᏀᎿᎧᏔᏣ Be yourself...love yourself...
Here's my school
Dr. Hendrick is a GSSM legend and I can't think of a better honoree for whom to name this scholarship!
Great insight on future Stem education.
It was cool to hear about people's research that I was not able to be at on Colloquium because I was listening to others or had to present my own. This episode was pieced really well together, in my opinion. It could go from the conversation with Dr. Witten to voiceovers and the so-called elevator pitches of my peers' research without being distracting or confusing in the sequencing of this episode.
I appreciate the background music and the sound quality was ok. I also enjoyed the introductory slides and the transitions to the research presentations where students talked about their summer experiences.
I enjoyed watching this week's STEM Formula Episode. I am excited for my research and inquiry experience this summer as well.
I really liked the intro clips, they are very well put together. I really like the background music and the camera work/different angles. However, there could be better transitions between section/title clips and the video clip afterward.
I like how the video has the student researchers talking about their research. I would tell the people talking to occasionally glance at the camera so it doesn't only seem like they are talking to themselves. I love how there are several pictures and videos that help show different research experiences because it was fun to get an idea of the different experiences.
The sound quality is pretty good, I like the music in the background. I enjoyed the intro slides before we all started talking as well as the switches to the actual research being done or presented as students spoke about what they did this summer.
This would be 10 times more watch able with better audio, audio is the most important part in filmmaking
Hi! This was such a great episode. Watching y’all speak was very heart warming because I have not felt such passion for teaching since graduating from GSSM. Having taken both of your classes, I found myself sharing that enthusiasm and even have referenced my notes from these classes in college. I am now in my 4th year of undergrad and will be pursuing a PhD to hopefully one day impact people the way Dr. Kroeger and Dr. Walker have impacted me. Thank you!!
Beautiful event. The families that spoke with the children that went to Governor’s School truly touched one’s heart. Congrats to Beth who never disappoints! KUDOS!👌

Warm thanks to my fellow alumns for this great honor! My apologies for the bleary-eyed rendering of the video remarks. I was on the wrong side of 5:30am after a build party allnighter toward the battery-powered outdoor class projectives a few hours later, and the 3D printers and CNC router to my back didn't deliver the best acoustics...

Is this school worth going to? Is like a prison or does it just focus on Math and Science?
Hi, Morgan - GSSM focuses a lot on math and science, but we also offer challenging humanities courses and other electives like engineering, robotics, computer science, and economics! It's not a school for everyone, so you should visit our website to learn more and determine if it's a good fit for you: scgssm.org. Let us know if you have any other questions!
