What I am trying to figure out is how this overrides the steering wheel lock function when there is no key in the car. Is it that white plastic cylinder housing that they made a replacement for that controls the locking system? Does your steering wheel still lock if you turn the wheel while car is off?
Steering wheel lock is with your key mechanism so once you take it out your steering wheel will never lock again
I know this is an old video, but do you think there'd be a way to set it up in a way where once the key is inside the car it'll let you start it? Like the 10th gen civics and newer have it. What if I cut the wire to the key scanner and run the scanner wire to a relay that doesn't let the signal through unless power is given to the relay? That way I can get power from a device that gets power only when the car is unlocked and it can simulate an OEM push to start.
That’s a really good question never thought of that, and never heard of anyone that has done it . Not sure if they make newer versions of this that do it, if you get around to doing it and it works let me know that would be a pretty cool idea 💯
@@shamarbrown5683 For sure, I have an idea, I'll just replace the chip scanner with a 1 foot range chip scanner instead. It takes up more space, it looks like a small cable box, but that can just slip under the seat. That way, I can slip the chip in the case of my FOB and it'll automatically be picked up once I get in. In theory at least, so I'll let you know how it goes when I get to it!

Hey Shamar. Just added this mod to my Civic after the keylock cylinder gave out. It took me like 4hrs to do. NGL it was a fucking bitch to get out the screws. I had to drill both screws off. Then the little screw behind the wheel uggggh. Anyways, Thanks for the vid it helped me out a bit.

Do uou have lots of cabin noise with these mounts? Mine car got very uncomfortable with these mounts while cruising.
Not a single thing everything felt oem need to upgrade now because of the boost but will still keep these in for now to experiment

The exhaust system I am running is the skunk2 76mm 3inch Meg are and yes I am running an plm after market headers
I haven’t had any experience with the any full race products but I really like there product and think it will do the same as the skunk 2 in terms a power but overall really good product
