Samoyeds are fantastic dogs but they come with the price to pay. If new owners are not ready Samoyed dogs can be a disaster to own.
We love our Sammys. In fact, we have 3 grown Samoyed in our family and we love them a lot. But it is not easy to live with Samoyeds.

What about the puppy bitting/nipping ? Did yours bit you guys hard and for long period of time? My friend’s Sammie is still bitting them and she is 6 month old
They need to get the dog properly trained. I have a 1 1/2 year old samoyed and he did it for about a week until we practiced focusing his energy on toys instead. Great dog to own but they need to know who the boss is.

I own a cousin to the Samoyad. An 8 1/2 month old American Eskimo Dog.

it's too hot for them, maybe some bowl water or childrens pool may help them. When dogs do that, it's to cool off, because they don't have sweat tissue (they don't sweat) like humans.

They are so cute. Then they get a little older and start destroying everything they can find.
That’s the time you have to occupy Samoyed. They usually destroy stuff when they bored.
@@JoyTheSamoyed Only had problems when they were teething. When older, one would move things to the far end of the back yard, but they would be undamaged. The other one would watch the neighbours chooks through a small hole in the fence.
We want to get another Sammy lol but I figure 1 more will turn into 10 😊 they are such sweet dogs. Yours are so pretty! 😍

It also looks awful when they are shaved, and my Samoyed was fine with temperatures up to high thirties Celsius. He would just spend the day sleeping on a floor that was tiles on concrete, which stayed cool. Then at dinner time he would let me know that he was perfectly fine.

I get my groomed not shaved they two coats. Mine is a big fluff ball
Yes. Grooming is fine. We do groom our dogs once in a while but it’s mostly gentle trim.
