@@Asif_damonkey Preserving the genomic sequence in living organisms is vital for sustaining life, yet mutations are crucial for evolution and adaptation, despite also being linked to cancer, disease, and aging. DNA, the fundamental inheritance molecule, is highly reactive and prone to chemical changes from both internal and external sources. Additionally, errors by DNA polymerases during replication and repair can introduce harmful mutations. To counter these risks, cells have complex systems-such as DNA repair, damage tolerance, cell cycle checkpoints, and cell death pathways-that work together to minimize the harmful effects of DNA damage. Here the PARP (poly ADP ribose polymerase) repairs when a single DNA strand is damaged / BRCA 1 (BReast CAncer gene 1) repairs when the damage is in a double strand of the DNA. So like a machine our body has his own self-repair system.
